Ok

Its practical and easy use

Spamming

The app is a very effective tool to manage teams. However recently there has been a series of non-team events scheduled by Teamer which are creating a confusing and frustrating proliferating spam. Please limit your sponsors to banners not events!

It’s ok

Amazing concept and much easier than calling all the parents. But a lot of parents say it doesn’t notify them when a coach posts something. Also a small thing but it doesn’t autocapitalize or autocorrect, which is small but helpful.

Can’t scroll down the team chat list.

Please fix it! I have to log in via website to view past team chats.

Also, sending a message is very confusing for a casual user who isn’t a manager or a coach...

Useful tool for monitoring available players

I find this really useful tool to look at who is available in one place quickly. It also keeps a register over the season of who attended training regularly. It would be brilliant if it had notifications for just the organiser when someone accepts matches or training or changes their availability as it happens and I don’t realise 😬

Good Overall

I have been using this for about a year to schedule tennis lessons. Very handy and saves me a lot of time- I schedule a time and everyone RSVPs with no back and forth. The things I wish they would add are a maximum # of players (our set up changed to max 4 players but there's no way to cut off once 4 is reached, and the notification just has yes/no so not easy to know how many are already signed up). The other thing I'm not crazy about is that with messages there is a second step to send the message but it's not evident to everyone that you have to select recipients then send after message is written (we've had a lot of players write messages that were never sent because of this). Overall good and helpful app though.

Love it just missing group messaging!

Love it just wish it had instant group messaging instead of my parents receiving an email when I send them a message. I use Teamer for game info and group me for messaging my parents.

Response from developer

Thanks for your review! We're working on a new messaging feature at the moment!

Good system for keeping everyone connected

We use this to keep everyone informed of what’s going on in our cycling club. It’s a good system for this although things like adding multiple events are a bit clunky. Would prefer to be blue to select from a template. Recently they also reduced the number of free SMSs that can be used which is annoying but it’s free so can’t really complain

Great free app

We use this to run a number of teams; there are glitches at times but cant complain when it’s free. Improvements I’d like to see are the ability to download players to a spreadsheet and have a make/female field as the reserve function no use without that in a mixed team where set numbers of each required.

Good but falls short

Our club uses this app and it’s mostly ok.
However agree with others that man of the match is clunky - most clubs use a 3 2 1 voting system and responding to an email later is not ideal. You want people to vote immediately after the game so a pop up reminder at the end of the game would make a big difference.
On the subject of pop up notifications there are none. It would be great if you got both a visual and sound notification to say an invitation to play or vote was received. You have to actually open the app to check for messages.
If both these were included I would give it 4-4.5 stars.
