Pretty good
The content is variable but on the whole worth the money. However I find the iPad format over complicated - there are too many scrolling text boxes and picture galleries that make it hard to navigate.b33k34
Very misleading
I thought I was buying a subscription that would allow me to access back issues as well as future ones - as so many magazines do. Then I find that I need to pay extra for each one and that it is not possible to distinguish which you have bought and which you haven't. All this should be made clear as you purchase.

I just wanted to let you know that I absolutely LOVED the iPad version of your magazine. I skipped over the user guide instructions but was still able to intuitively figure things out. It was effortless and very well organised. Also, I love how interactive it is! I can't wait to subscribe! I don't think I'll ever go back to the old way :)

Great app!
Was expecting a dull page turner but this is so much more! Great viewing it on the iPad. Would definitely recommend it. Reading the previous reviews worried me but didn't have any problems!Pault22
Excellent App
I came across an old (2004) paper copy of Homebuilding and Renovating magazine the other day, re read it and wanted more. I live in Dubai, so the iPad version seemed just the ticket. I was really impressed with the high quality, initiative nature of the app. I particularly love the 10 of the Best and the easy links to related web sites.
Don't normally provide feedback, but I was so pleased with the app I simply wanted to share the goodness... Well worth a look if you're interesting in self building and or restoration... Enjoy...Show lessCraig Harry

I never write reviews but this app just made me never want to go back to reading the hard copy of magazines again (it's also better for the planet). Don't waste your money
Have not been able to download the last 2 editions. They posted one magazine to me. Since then it does not recognize my subscription . I needed to read an article in the magazine so had to buy it. Contacted customer services but they are not interested - saying wait for the fix to be released. Still waiting.Show lessYtftt
Cannot Restore Purchases
The magazine content is excellent and I have been a reader of Homebuilding and Renovation for many years.
However there have always been problems with the app especially trying to restore purchases. No viable support option either.Awildi
Great iPad mag...
I've always had a dream of building my own house but know nothing about it save from watching Grand Designs on Ch4. I had a look at different self build mags but this was by far and away the best one. Not only that, after taking out a subscription I wrote to the editor for some advice and got the most comprehensive reply ever - great customer service and brilliant magazine.
