offline doesn’t work anymore?

I like relaxing and playing this game against the CPU, online is competitive and I’m honestly not a good player so it ain’t even fun. is the offline mode just not even a thing anymore?

???

Just read a review by a dude with advice about “drawing good players” to the app. Newsflash! The app is actually overrun with “good players” (or cheaters using trainers to do their thinking) every single weekend. This app has made the same mistake as all the others relegated to the dustbin of history. Trusting immature gamers to administrate the app. Newsflash#2. Casual players who don’t cheat, don’t play in tournaments and don’t study strategy (using other people’s brains) outnumber those *elite players by an order of magnitude. Einstein once said “The very definition of insanity is to do something the same way repeatedly and expect a different outcome”. He was right.

What?

This game gives new meaning to the word “corrupt.” The game only allows a player to be with a fair opponent for the first game. There is almost no way to avoid the biases installed in this app that block a fair game. And the scoring system is actively engaged in preventing a score from remaining valid. From just lying and inventing a sudden 50% when you were at 100% for 2 games then won a 3rd to drooping you 20% with every loss but giving you only 0.45% when you win. It’s irritating and disappointing at first but then it’s actually fun to observe the corruption. Don’t let a young person trying to form their personal ethics play this corrupt game, however.

Hey Shasawoodssszzu, thank you for your feedback. Of course our app are not perfect, but we but we do not program anything with the aim to cheat our users. Just from the logic of it, it would be strange if we program an app that we want to drive our users away from. That would only make sense if we offered in-app purchases, which we do not. Manipulated by Othello

This game is corrupted by an obsession to prevent players from playing with fair opponents. It keeps trying to force me to play with certain obvious experts who lie about the country of origin they are really from. It’s anything but “random opponent” as stated. From each and every aspect this game is dishonest, cheating on opponents true randomness, cheating in the fake occasions it disconnects and causes you to lose, the scoring which is biased against honestly and fairness, and even when the game is a tie this corrupt dishonest game makes it reflect as a loss in the scoring. Very dishonest people created this electronic version of Othello. Expect to feel manipulated and cheated with almost every game you play or attempt to play. Sad

Disappointed

The Othello game creators programmed it to prevent one from building up to a high score. It interrupts the connection then if there was a game that never even began somehow you’ll drop your score by 50% from this dishonest part of the program. There is no to the claim that your opponent is “random”; the game seems to want you to have a chance only to win your first game, then it strategically places you with opponents who are much more experienced so you can’t win. Even if you manage to build up a few wins, the game “randomly” places you with the same “random” player right after you win against them to give that player (or are they really players at all? maybe we’re just all playing against AI fakes) to win

No option to pay and remove ads

Like the game, I played and won but as a thanks it played a video ad. Wish there was an option to pay.

Response from developer

Hi, sadly we have to show ads, cause the game is free. But you can use a subscription for ad free at any time. Greetings, Alex from LITE Games Team.

Used to be good

Game now glitches up to often… plus they spam you with adds constantly to a point where its annoying. 90% of the time you get an add before even playing your first game… I will not support greedy developers like this that spam you way to often

Correct the scoring flaw in this app

The Lite Games Othello has a flaw in the scoring. They have not found a way to have players of similar skill play against each other. The game’s algorithm seems to have been programmed for one to only have a winnable game in the first game, then one is matched with a player of exceedingly high skill almost always. The game also actually cheats by having an opponent’s hand literally switch away from what the tile placement should be. It seems that the main goal of the game is to prevent a player from having a high level of consecutive wins AT ANY COST even to the legitimacy of games played. It’s really pathetic

Glitchy at times

Platform can be quite unstable. One game in every ten freezes or never gets started. Online timer also seems extremely short for a strategy game. You could easily double the time available without it dragging. Personally it also bugs me when opponents just quit when they believe they’ve lost. Have the decency to play it out! But I love the simplicity and find the tactics very challenging.

Hi Phaedra, thank you for this feedback. We discuss your points in our team. Greetings, Alex from LITE Games Team.

Keeps glitching

The game will glitch and tell me I have no valid moves (when I do) then proceed to have the computer win the game because the game does not allow me take a valid move
