truly groundbreaking

This is the best read. Application out there! We use it with three f our children - ages 4, 2, and 6 months, and it can be easily adopted to each of their learning level. The oldest one loves the word games, which serve as an excellent review tool, the 2 years old one learning new words every day and started deciding words that he has never seen before (pattern phonics is awesome) and our 6 month old one just started Little Reader in English and Chinese. Absolutely recommend it!

Wonderful!

So very pleased! I really hope we can eventually have access to our own curricula, as well as little musician and little math. Thanks so much for making this!

Great word picture combination

Sometimes hard to actually turn page by child/infant. They use more than one finger and it does not seem to pick up unless you use one finger just right on the iPad.

Love the animal sounds and voice that go with the photos. Not all that fond of the current cartoon characters.

Otherwise, great!

Good for very young children

My son is 3 and pretty much knows all the answers already. I guess it could help him with learning words but I think he needs to start with the basic words first and unless you pay for extras on this, it doesn't give you much as far as phonics.

Early learning assisted

My son was delighted at 9 months to start saying 'clap' while clapping after watching his first few sessions! Gives so much joy to babies and relieves frustration in a structured way which is age appropriate.

No sound

The sound does not work in my trial version on my ipad. There is sound in the trial I have for PC. Other than that, I think the ipad is a great platform for brill kids and the method is pretty solid for what it does. I would definitely read the manual before beginning for info on approaching teaching your little one to read.

Excellent

Excellent. Good supplement to main software.

Brilliant

My 2 & 3 yr grand daughters love this & I only have the free version. If I saw them more often -we live 500 miles away - I'd get the paid version.

Using on iPad

It's okay - but it is so limited using the app on the iPad. My child is just about to be three and not all the listed words keep his attention as much as, "transportation." I don't want to risk messing about on my wife's MacBook computer just to try the system out, although it would be better if we could use UK English instead of American. He likes using the alphabet, but I don't like all the letters being in capitals and the mispronunciation of, "zee," instead of, "zed."
The use of flash cards is well recognised and the improvement using a computer should be more advanced than this surely?
