  • Awesome!!!

Have played about 30 hours I this on pc and I will be playin this version just as much. Only complaint would be that the controls could be improved a bit, make them bigger and less sensitive for floating maybe?
  • More fun than a 12 ga. full of rock salt!

It's very rare that I buy games on the app store. I usually keep to spending money on music and books. Tonight, however, I was feeling a bit spry and decided to splurge a whopping $.99 on this neat little shooter. I figured that at the worst it would keep me entertained for a few minutes before I deleted it and went back to playing Angry Birds HD.

Four and a half hours later I am still itching to play. The gameplay is smooth, each level is different based on the music you have on your iPad, the controls are well done and the enemies are seemingly limitless.

For a buck I don't think I could ask for more. This is going to be one of my favorite iPad games of all time. I highly recommend you grab this app if you are at all into techno music as it is the perfect backdrop for this game.

  • Out of Hand!

  • Great!

Awesome but could use with a easier way to select songs like opening up your library because skipping through all my 500 song to find the one I want takes a we while :(. Any way, awesome game!!!!!
  • tank

i have this game on my ps3 its fun as but the ipod version is way better
  • Awesome

The only thing that could make this game better would be to have the enemies appear and dodge to the beat. And maybe a faster moving ship.
The music interaction is amazing, something the AppStore has sorely missed until now.
Crazy mad visuals, not for the epileptic.
  • Great, but needs better selection controls.

Bought the game on pc a long time ago. This version is great but it needs a better way to access your songs. Is there any way you could just use the playlists, top 25, recently added etc? The current way to select songs just isn't as streamlined as the standard music / iPod interface on ios
  • It's arrived!!!

Been playing Beat Hazard since it was only an indie game on Xbox live and was instantly fascinated with it. I was extremely excited when Ultra was released on PC and I've been waiting for about 2 years to play it on my phone. Boy was it worth the wait! Incredibly smooth, great visuals (as always), awesome visualizer, works with all your music, lots of extras and to top it off, a great perk system that adds to the addictiveness. If you loved any of the previous versions, you'll feel right at home here. Also, this version probably has the best music browser of all of the other BH's. The only gripe I have with this is that when using twin stick mode your thumbs tend to cover the bottom corners of the screen meaning enemies can sometimes fly into you without seeing them. Doesn't hinder the experience though and it's kind of an unavoidable problem with iOS games. A gyro/accelerometer control mode might be cool.

  • AWESOME!!!

Game plays a lot like Geometry Wars but with the ability of using your iTunes library. Unreal graphics and the visualizer is handy. Might get a little monotonous after a while but hey what game doesn't. Can see it as a good time killer on long trips or in a waiting room.
  • Cool

    Very fun, original title
