Air Purifier on network but can’t connect to it
Trying to add a Phillips air purifier to the air matters app on a new router (upgraded my internet), it always fails on connecting to the air purifier once it’s on the network saying Discovery Time Out. So now I bought an Air Purifier that I can’t even connect to on the app. It worked about a year ago but clearly the updates broke something. Would no longer recommend.Show lessAccuracy and Transparency Matters
This app consistently shows air quality a full 10 points below several other apps with measurements taken in my neighborhood. The app nor the website tell you where the data is coming from, which is a big red flag for me. I’m open to new sources of data, however, must have some basis for comparison in order to judge which source to use. I’m further research this app began in China and has some content giveaways, showing it was not fully edited by US English-speaking editors. Accuracy matters it’s my family’s health.Show lessAQI misleading due to abundance of stations that do not actually exist
This review is for Australia. I’m not sure how state monitors are added elsewhere.
Here AirMatters has decided to add a government monitoring station for every suburb and locality. This is despite these monitoring stations not existing. This means if I’m located closer to a suburb centre than a community device the readings will be waaaaay off. As there are only a handful of community devices in my region this happens more often than not. I’ve deleted this app and started using AirCare instead. It’s a shame because AirMatters has a superior user experience. But that’s pointless if the data is wrong.Show less
