Read this developer’s comments on other people’s negative reviews. You initially won’t face too many ads but if you use the app for a while eventually he starts to show you more ads as way to kind of irritate you into making one of the subscription payments. This suggests that how often you use this app is being tracked and recorded somehow and used in a way to manipulate you, which is not necessary. I’d expect a big corporate type business like Chase bank to do something shady like this but for a small independent developer to be this greedy is a shame !Show lessJnachod2015

Hi, thanks for your feedback. SolarWatch locally saves the first time when the app was installed and keeps a counter which is incremented every time the app is launched. Using these two pieces of information, it can decide when to show a paywall and/or show an ad for another indie app. This all happens locally and you are not being tracked. That being said, I hear you and with the latest update I have greatly reduced the frequency of ads from 25% to 5%.Latest update seems to have broken it
When it worked, it was a great app, but unfortunately the latest update has rendered it unusable for the time being. It no longer remembers the city. Trying to search is very difficult because as soon as I enter the first letter, the keyboard goes away and only one search result comes up (which isn’t the one I want to search for). I have to tap back into the search bar a second time in order to be able to search for my city, but when I select my city from the search results, nothing happens. The city doesn’t load. Unfortunately, this issue renders the app unusable for the time being.Show lessSpammedOut

I’m a press photographer and occasionally do weather pictures such as sunrises - the top down map and time wheels make it the simplest app to show me where to stand and at what time to get a sunrise - main culprits are castle rising in Norfolk and Ely cathedral . It really does make it simple to know where the sun will at what time.Show lessJetSetwill01
