  • Flexible, Reliable Instructional Tool for Creative Educators

In a career spanning five decades, I came upon Educreations when I began flipping my lessons to benefit students. With distance learning a necessity during the global pandemic, Educreations has become an invaluable resource for me.

The ability to “pile & tile” images, graphs, equations, and texts within a single frame? Awesome. The ability to write in real time upon a presentation slide? Helpful. Being able to preserve (and share by link) completed lessons in an MP4 format? Pure gravy.

My professional subscription has been money very, very well spent.

Thank you, Wade, and all of the Educreations team!

  • Love this app

I love this app because it’s so fun to teach my class on this app and I can show them what to do and it is really easy to teach them math and it is super fun to make videos and not just draw on my whiteboard all day. Thanks to who ever created this app!!!!😁❤️❤️🌈
  • Great app and experience. But missing important features.

The record and “edit” is really well thought out and I really like it.

Here are some things that are definitely lacking and potentially enough to make me look else where.

    1. Customizing brush colours.
    2. Customizing brush sizes/stroke type.
    3. Customizing backgrounds
    4. Support for Unicode test.

  • Creates My Classroom Instructional Videos

This app has been the way I am teaching my class during the pandemic. I can easily record myself doing a lesson or assignment and easily download to my device to share with my class. It links right to my google docs and I just write directly on them. The only issue I find as a math teacher is the lack of tools, specifically a compass, protractor, graphing calculator, etc. I also find it it unhelpful that I can’t create a pdf of what I wrote.

  • Pretty Good

I liked the different colors (which are not available in the standard Apple color template), but there are not enough colors. Also, the one type of drawing tool is pretty standard and is not formattable. It would be very convenient if you added more text formatting options and lesson features. I hated that I could not move drawings from one part of the canvas to the other. In Apple-provided apps (i.e. Paper, Numbers, Keynote, Books, Files, etc.) you can at least let the program adjust your sketched circles/lines/squares/ovals to make them perfect. Also, the commands to move to a different page sometimes cannot be accessed when I’m drawing. It would be helpful if you fixed these and added standard forms (like geometric figures, trees, people, symbols, et al) like you can find in Pages and a mindmap/chart tool.

  • Can’t reorder videos

Educreations has been great for me, but it has been so frustrating not to be able to simply reorder the videos the way I like them. Every time I add a new video it gets dropped on the first page. After years of making videos they are all out of order and my students easily get confused and give up. Tech support says just remove videos and add them in the order you like, but that is crazy time consuming. I don’t understand why they can’t fix this. There are better video platforms out there now.

  • Amazzzzing

Love love love this app. It has been a lifesaver for remote learning. I also use it when kids have problems with the homework. They send me the question they are stuck on and I can record a quick 1 minute video to help them understand the topic. 10/10 would recommend.
