Works better than the actual google app
Never had a problem with this one! This one works far better than the app for gmail put out by google. It does t crash and is easier to navigate. The people who designed this app should get hired to do it for google.corsophoto

Does all i want. Read emails and respond. Good to be able to add multiple emails and the passcode lock is ace. Sometimes has issues if signal is weak but that has nothing to do with the app. Essential app!Wankyspank
Best ever
I have been using Gmail since it FIRST came out. I'm 70 can't remember what you call it, but it was not the "final" version. It was still in a testing state when I first used it. I find I can type as fast as I want (can) and it completely keeps up with me. Just like an old fashioned type-writer did. It has ways of saving your email forever if you so choose and I have some email that has been around also since it first came out in a testing state. I just love Google and never intend to switch to something else just because it's "newer".. Newer does NOT necessarily mean "better".Show lessIvalutie

I just wanted to check gmail quickly when I have something posted on Craigslist. I was able to create a separate gmail for that and this app makes it easy to quickly check for responses on my iPod without having to pull out my computer.lorac336

Alerts
I am not very techy. It works okay, only two accounts not so good, but it's free so hey. But I cannot find alerts , I want an alert that I have an email , so for that reason I give it a 2 , and if it exists and it is only because I can't find it then it deserves a 1 for being so difficult to find . It's a start!
1st, thanks for an App that you can lock, 2nd, it's still in its prime on multitasking, 3rd you have No Email Notifications on incoming etc.. 4th, the lock screen is Generic and needs better work, 5th you can't select multiple messages to delete etc.. So you have to do one by one! Very Annoying! The choice of upgrading through downloading more Crap is Crazy! I have enough emails from places I don't want and giving my info out just to get yours for free is Ridiculous, Yep, I rather pay the $1.99, but not until it gets better for my money!Show lessKarma Comes

Good app but needs work
Better than most but does not work with Google Groups. Lacks several functions that the desktop Gmail has. Limited folder functions and empty deleted is not available. Have to "make do" until you can use a desktop/laptop to catch up. Better than nothing I guess.wob1978

Great interface and no bells and whistles to get in the way of sending/reading quick emails. I've had no issues. Like the ability to have multiple accounts available for login. No delay in sending or receiving. Thanks for a great app (and please continue to keep it simple!).Annabanama
