Negatives
--flipped plays get aren't always perfectly rendered.
--and what shows on tile isn't always what's underneath.
--GET RID OF THAT HUGE LOGO printed on wristbands printouts. You can't even flip the page over and reprint because of it.
--can't print 2 wrist play sheets inserts with bottom borders touching each other. (Would save cutting time when you're cutting and inserting 20 of these at a time🤯)
Wish list--
--ability to draw lines at 90 and 45 degrees.
-customizable play numbers (not just 1-8). Less confusing for little kids.
-be able to upload personal playbook mascots
-be able to have a player have 2/3 separate line styles for special plays.
Great product though, honestly.
You guys should advertise on line with some good keywords. I've been doing this for years and struggling.
That other playmaker is more difficult to use and so overpriced.

72 hour review
My initial review, is this is an awesome app. Definitely worthy of 5 stars. Love the customizable positions, rosters, colors, etc. so far, the only issue I've been having is the failure to send playbook as PDF to entire team (approx 9-12) emails. Stays on sending screen for over 5 minutes. The app has crashed about 3 times, and had a couple hang ups. I am using an iPad4 and maxed out on iOS 10.3.3. I will attribute these crashes to my old battery in my device.Show lessClaws Coach

I have used the app extensively to record plays and schemes. In general, the app is functional and it has been improved recently for speed and efficiency. Some suggestions I have:
Ability to edit zone assignments (place a rectangular zone instead of defaulting to a circle all the time)
Better functionality when adjusting the size of a “zone” assignment (can be very unresponsive at times)
Ability to “float” the line of scrimmage anywhere on screen to maximize space for the play instead of defaulting into the center of the screen.
Adjustable yardage indicator on the side of the screen to help explain length of routes and assignments.
All in all, still a very good app to use that I’ve found to be helpful.Show lessgflash2011

Thanks for the feedback, coach. I like your ideas, specifically the zone assignments, maximizing space for play and some indicator about route length (we'd probably accomplish that with annotations). All of those are on our wish list.Fun to use, but I could use more room
When creating offensive plays I would like to have more room in that backfield. Is there a way to move the line of scrimmage? I would love it if the line of scrimmage could be moved up so 3/4 of my screen is the backfield instead of just half.Jmcethorn

We agree with your feedback about the position assignments. In recent update we added custom Personnel Groups to solve the problem you identified with positions. Will you give that a try? I paid the expensive $15 (for this type of app and functionality, the market cap is more like $9.99) and generally am happy. One thing I don't like is the wasted paper... My wrist playbooks have the typical cover plastic page where the first set of plays should show on one side, then the next set of plays should be printed on the fold of the underside of the page but I can't get this app to accommodate. So I have to print two pages, mostly because the footer is much too large, and then cut all sections to then put them into the playbooks.Show lessBdrptl

Thanks for the feedback on the wristband printouts. It sounds like your idea is to have the two wristbands lined up edge-to-edge so you can cut them out together and simply fold over. I like that idea. There is a way to print our current wristbands two-sided but depends on your printer/print dialog setup. If you send me an email at support@flagfootballplaymaker.com I'll explain the process I use for double sided printing and maybe that will be a more paper-friendly workaround for you.Great app!!
I was looking for a way to create plays for a youth flag team. Once I watched the tutorials it made it pretty simple to customize plays. I would definitely recommend this app to others.hansum80

I was trying to find an app or program to create my flag football plays on. This app does everything I need plus more. So easy to use. It's simple and to the point. It could use a couple upgrades here and there but what app can't. I created the plays and printed them out to fit my teams wrist play books. Took my team to the next level. It sure has promise though. The patterns randomly disappear. That's frustrating when you are in the middle of coaching. I try restarting the app and my tablet but I never know when they will reappear. I would rate it 3 stars if that could get fixed. What it needs is the ability to illustrate patterns in two different colors from the same player. The printing and sharing works well.Show lessVancebo1
