Not for me?
It seem good, good graphics and nice shooting mechanics but? Infinite credits kills the gameplay. It doesn't matter how many times you get shot because you can just continue we're you left off. Kind of defeats the point really? As a result theirs no strive to progress.
Utterly superb
Okay, so, for the challenged; remix mode presents a one-to-one movement ratio of finger to ship, while arcade mode moves the ship at the rate it moved in the arcade original. That's the point of the two modes, one for the purists and one for everyone else. There's no need for further tweaking, this game has a great options set, it's a very professional product.
And it's such a good game. This vert is as good as verts get; not so manic as a Cave, but the lock-on reticule in parallel with standard shooting and dodging fun presents a genuine cognitive challenge. Add to that a perfect narrative progress through many unique space war moments, gorgeous use of technology, and a stunning soundtrack... This game is adorable. Adorable!

Not worth the money
This application isn't worth what it is charged. It's a old game and only has 7 levels I beat it in the first 20 minuets. Two thumbs down complete robbery.
Arcade
Great port for the touch screen.
It worked fine on me
People seemed to have lag issues and I can see that, but not even close to cause problem.
Although there was a Raystorm, I decided to get this instead because of soundtrack- I like Rayforce's soundtrack better.
And Rayforce is also known as most beautiful pixel-graphic on the arcade at that time. Entering atmosphere, breaking ground... Gorgeous.
But you see, I'm a big retro fan. I would prefer to play pixel graphic than clean realistic 3d. And not everyone is like that.
The sound, graphic seems fine, but only with original graphic resolution. Once zoomed in, it cause some problem.
But these can be solved easily by rebooting your phone, as it DESCRBED on description. Maybe people just need to take time and read whats on there. I mean, it's there for a reason.

Great classic but needs fine tuning
Very good lost classic and is very good game but the original arcade mode is very hard to control the ship but if you not bothered about arcade original mode and just go on remix mode it's fine as controlling ship is much better for some odd reason
Bad frame rate on zoom screen.
I have an iPhone 4 and it is choppy when playing the game on a zoomed screen. The normal screen makes it run smoother, but it's annoying especially for those that want a bigger screen and to those that paid $6 (or full price of $12!). Cave's shmups run perfectly fine and even on older devices. 3 stars though because this is still a great game.

Touch screen latency on iPhone 4s
This is a great classic but unfortunately I cannot recommend this for anyone other than iPad 3 owners. There is very bad touchscreen latency well over 300 ms that makes this type of game unplayable on the iPhone 4s and it just gets worse on lesser hardware. It is just over acceptable on the iPad 3. Hope the developers look into this issue.

Not a Universal App, Dissappointing
Tsk, tsk, Taito. While a solid port, the lack of true universal app support seems awkward and out-dated. Kind of kills the experience of a game originally designed for a full-sized arcade cabinet monitor or television.
Works on iPad
Choppy emulation on my iPhone 4. Pretty smooth on my iPad 3. I love the game in the arcade!!! It's arcade perfect minus chops.
