Awesome
Very awesome game, very good controls, great graphics, and let's you wanting to play more of it. Music is good as well, game progressively gets more challenging as you reach the later levels. Overall the game is really good..vampkill
A slice of history, at a price!
I've been a fan of this particular game for a long time. I'm astonished that it's actually here on my phone right now. It has to be the most expensive game I've paid for on the app store but to me, it's worth every penny.
Well done Taito for publishing this, it's not going to be to everyone's tastes - it is exceptionally tough! But for true shooting game enthusiasts this is not to be missed!!!

Decent but a stupid price
I swore i wouldnt buy an iOS game at a price like this (£7.99 !) but after getting a fair few itunes vouchers for Xmas i thought i would try it. I love retro games so i was so tempted by this but damn the price ! Anyway the actual game i really like, nice old skool style graphics and sound, plays well.
BUT why on earth dont Taito cut the price in half ? Would get a lot more sales as so many people are waiting for a price drop on this one, I only went for it as the vouchers arent really 'real money'.
Space Invaders Infinity Gene was a classic by Taito, a superb game but its such a shame theyve gone to a seriously stupid price model for this game. This is the first in the trilogy but i dont think i'll bother with the rest if theyre priced like this. Someone at Taito needs to get their act together as the pricing model for this app is crazy. Jerky graphics
I just bought this game for my iPod touch 4th gen. The graphics motion is not smooth at all, quite choppy like 15 frames per second, not good! I recommend you get a Cave shmup instead.renyen
Brilliant game
If you're a fan of shoot em ups or bullet hell games then you'll love RayForce. Graphics are good, sounds are good, all around this is a great game.
Sadly, the controls for the arcade mode seem to be a little laggy. They need to fix that. Otherwise it's an awesome game.CupidDeLocke
Rayforce
Rayforce finally comes to the app store, and i've got to be honest in that i'm a little dissapointed with this release.
With regards to people wondering, i can confirm that the game does run fine on an ipad2, however 2 things let this port down.
The most obvious is the price.
£7.99 is way to much to pay for this port, I think £2.99 would be more reasonable. (The same price as Space invaders infinity gene).
Also in a somewhat bizarre choice, the app isn't universal which means you have to "blow up" the screen to x2 on the display settings,creating a very pixelated appearance. I thought this was rather odd because from personal experience shmups play better on an ipad2.
The response of the control is good on iphone mode however, although arcade mode seems to be identical except for a more "traditional" feel to the controls.
In a nutshell, if this was a universal app priced at around £2.99 (The same as Mushihimesama...) I would score this around the four to five star mark, but how the app is presented at the moment (especially for you guys running ipods and having preformance issues..) Horrible controls
Controls are laggy and strange. Take a hint from Cave on how this should be done. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone.neko68k
