Driving in China User Reviews

Very helpful, but not perfect.

This app definitely helped me pass the Shanghai written driving test in the first round. Unfortunately with new questions this year, not all were on the exam so I failed the first test with 88. They let me retake and I got a 92! Very thankful. The Training function and starring questions I want to review was a good exercise to look at only questions I didn't know.

Best way to pass the test

My wife and I tried to take the test cold and failed. You have to get 90%, 100 questions out of a pool of 1300. The translation makes the questions confusing and the test itself is tricky.

There is no study guide in English and the test is very comprehensive. Even Chinese people usually have to study for a few weeks and fail the first time.

This app is laid out extremely well. The study, training and exam sections are a great way to practice and there is a progress report to show how you are doing.

Learn the police hand signals! They can be confusing and each test has at least 3 questions about them. Also the point system.

Be sure to review all 1300 questions and be able to pass the practice exams above 90% before attempting the real one or you will be wasting your time.

After a week of studying with this app, about 1-2 hrs per day we both passed. 96&94%.

There are some study tests on the Internet for free but they are not as comprehensive. This one is well worth the money

Good luck!

Crashes on 3GS, running 6.1.6

Crashes when choosing training or exam. Send feedback doesn't work either. Possibly related to using older model phone (3GS)

Necessary app for the Beijing drivers license exam

Studied for a day and somehow passed. Couldn't have done it without this app. A lot of questions, similar to the rest of the country, don't make a lot of sense, so you need to prep.

Knew every answer to the difficult and average questions. Then made sure I saw every easy question. Scored a 92!

Felt my chances were about 40% I'd pass going in since my practice exams were an 86, 87, 89.

FYI, The questions aren't an exact match, but pretty close. You should be able to recognize the question you're being presented with on the formal test with the prep question.

Not bad, but not great either

Uses this app to study for my driving test in November 2014. A lot of the content was similar, but none of the wording of the questions was the same as on the test. I also got 3 questions on my test that were not in this app. Despite these flaws, enough of the questions were close enough to help me pass, first try. Definitely a helpful app, but not perfect.

Great APP

I studied each section and it took about 4 hours, went in next day and scored a 94. Very good program and very close to actual test questions. Highly recommend.

Great app for driving test

I applied the driver license thinking i will have time to prepare 2 weeks because other foreigners said in their blog that u can take the exam 10 days after u applied it. However, when i applied, the lady officer asked me do u want to take the exam tomorrow? I said yes. So i have 24 hrs include sleeping to prepare. I have no books. Just this app... Studied all questions 1 times. Did hard test 1 times, medium test 1 times, and mixed test 3 times. I passed with 97 scores. This apps get almost all questions and answers of the real test. Only 1 question that wording is different. Great app!!

Perfect DL Preparation

This app is the best one available to prepare yourself in any language for the Chinese Drivers License writing test.
Supports favorites and re-learning of difficult and wrong ones.
I learned 2 weeks every evening 30-60min and passed the test for C1 DL with 100 points.
Note that some translations are not perfect, but nor are they in the real test. So just learn it that way and it will do it.

Still have to pay

So, why after spending 1.49 do I then have to pay more to get anything but the most basic app?

Does the trick

Study this for a few hours, and passing the test will be a breeze. A few of the translations are off (bumpy road = sleeping policeman?!?), but overall, a good app. Visuals are almost identical to the actual test.
