  • Great app

Changing my rating to 4 Stars because of the full screen 15 and 30 second commercials between games. I now play with volume set to zero.

Works very well. I now spend a lot of time( maybe to much) playing this.
Only change I would like to see is the ability to have an “undo” option so you could replay the last move to learn what the correct play should have been.

  • Straightforward Fun

When I want to play a card game on my phone, I do not want to be interrupted every other minute by advertisements. I don’t need eye-popping graphics or amazingly complex backgrounds with plot lines and animated characters. I want simple, easy-to-read card faces and clear rules. This Hearts game is perfect. I get all I need to entertain myself for a hand or two; I am able to play and walk away, as my day permits. I am satisfied and pleased by the ease of playing, and I am happy to recommend this version of Hearts to my friends.

  • So far so good

I only downloaded the game about an hour ago, and I’m far from an analytical player (plus I’m still just getting my “sea legs” back after not having played hearts in years. But so far I’m very much enjoying this app. There’s a single banner ad across the bottom of the screen and that’s it for ads (yay! Though I would still like to have the option to make a one-time payment to remove that banner); play is otherwise completely uninterrupted, which is a beautiful thing in this age of ads that constantly interrupt the playing experience. I’m playing on Hard mode, which offers challenging (for me) and fairly realistic play; I notice that I don’t get passed high hearts as often as I would expect human players to, but maybe the computer to my right just seldom has them or maybe it thinks it wants to shoot...though the latter is unlikely given the high cards I tend to get in the deal.

Anyway, I’m enjoying the game a lot so far and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good hearts game that doesn’t kill its own experience with ads (why do so many developers make their own products awful? Who would think that’s a good idea?).

  • Game points

I don’t understand how game points are totaled. I can go through a game, only get the queen once or twice, and get zero game points. How come you have to take a trick to earn points? I thought the whole point was to make everyone else be stuck taking the trick. And when I try to click on the help tab it gives me an error. I play on my iPod if that makes a difference.

  • Hearts

Fun. However after playing hearts for over 60 years, I have never seen such strange (statistically improbable) card distribution. In addition, I have rarely seen so many times that the first time a suit is played, almost every player plays a low card - instead of a high (or relatively) card.

Except for the above two statistically improbable occurrences, the game is reasonably entertaining. It would be better if you addressed the two issues which I have commented on.

I would like to receive a response to my comments, thank you

  • Ads

Ads are extremely long between games. Usually stop playing and get involved with another app or game. The length of the ads take away the fun. When discarding at the beginning of a hand I more than likely get at least one of the three cards back.
  • It’s Hearts

It provides what you want out of a game of Hearts. I found however the AI (on Easy) can sometimes feel like they’re all colluding against you lol (strangely convenient hands where all 3 players had the lowest cards of a suit hand after hand). This nuance happens too often to the point that you definitely can tell your 3 adversaries are really just one AI working to compete against you, rather than 3 separate AI with clearly random hands.

I’ll still rate 5 Stars though because it still does Hearts well. I noticed if you play on the hardest difficulty by the way, the AI players feel a lot more natural and the randomization of the deck between the 3 players doesn’t feel doctored to beat you like on Easy.

  • Descent Computer Play

Descent game. Except that when the Jack of Diamonds is worth -10, the computer players are unaware of this, and readily give away the Jack of Diamonds. Also, the computer players often hang onto the Ace or King of Spades until the last couple of cards. This makes it easy to dump the Queen of Spades late in the hand. All of this adds up to a ‘fake’ set of winning statistics.

  • Great Game

However, I feel making the scores higher than just 100 points to win the game. Give the player an option at least too 1000 points to win. I absolutely love this game

  • Fast play

Love the game but please update to slow down the play of cards. Even on the slowest play it is difficult to see the cards played. Also after the pass of cards the play starts immediately and you don't even have time to see the cards passed to you. Also, if you play this game you should know you will be given the Q of spades 9 times out of 10. So plan your play accordingly.
