This really highlights the relationship between shutter speed, aperture and ISO - thanks for demystifying it! It'd be better with a few more choices in subject matter (each with a different default light level), a way to frame the picture and a way to use the various types of light meters available on many SLRs. Perhaps some sample images could be made available that offer different areas for potential focus, with some foreground and background layers that could come in and out of focus depending on f-stop. Then perhaps different types of lenses, too... Nothing too out-of-the-ordinary, just the ones an amateur is more likely to want (standard kit and telephoto.)capy

This is a wonderful teaching tool both online and on the web. Thanks so much for making it available as an app.
Here's a thought: it would be an even more powerful teaching tool if the parameters could be temporarily hidden. For instance, hide the shutter speed value in aperture priority so a student could figure it out then check to see if they were right. Or hide the meter while calculating exposure values.

A good tool but needs more subjects
Needs more subjects to photograph. I would have liked to practice photographing still objects in dim lighting, making use of the tripod option.pitamc
