  • Hopeless new app

    I do not have time to faff around trying to access the paper. Impossible to return to the copy as there is no link. It gives you yesterdays copy and after 30 minutes I am still trying to find today’s copy. I will have to cancel my subscription that is if I can access the page! Why was the App changed? I gave it one star but it does not warrant any stars! PF
    Since I wrote the first review I am very pleased with how it has improved and I cannot fault the App at the time of writing this. Very pleased with the outcome. PF

  • Infuriating new app

    I have been reading the Scotsman on line for several years. It was very slow to download but otherwise fine. Without warning it has been changed. The paper is hard to access each day and I can see no way to look at the supplements or earlier issues. Will cancel my subscription if this is not changed.

  • Latest update reduces visual quality of articles

    I just downloaded the latest update (May 2nd), and noticed the articles look very poor when zoomed-in. It appears that we are now being presented with a scanned image or a picture file rather than vectored text that maintains is appearance regardless of zoom level.

    I am not at all happy with this downgrade. I don’t pay to have quality reduced!

  • Review of new design

    I do not enjoy this new format. I don’t understand how it works. I did not create a password. It is much to confusing to me.

  • Old Format App

    This latest revision is poor and is still difficult to read content. Try using the format that Times and Telegraph use.
    The Scotsman still uses format that mimics the actual newspaper hence the need to zoom to read articles. Not exactly2019 standard compared to competition

  • Customer service?

    Piss-poor app. Does it's job OK when it works, but every time Apple upgrades its system, it locks you out. You have to phone "Subscriptions " to ask them to unlock it. Speak to a toneless automaton of a woman whose "name?, postcode?, address?, that's it now!" is obviously intended to be acceptable. On discussion, she said that I should be speaking to Apple about the problem. Does everyone of my apps fail with an upgrade? No. if she can unlock and reset the access in one second, why is that not automatic?
