Description of Drumgenius

Play along with the greatest drummers in the world and improve your knowledge of rhythm. Drumgenius (only Infinite Credits pack) includes Metrogenius: the smart Metronome, with "clave" and "swing regulator"! Drumgenius (created by a musician for musicians) is the first encyclopedia of drum grooves (500 loops from Jazz to Rock) as played by the masters of drums: a unique tool for any musician that wants to practice with an amazing expert virtual drummer, to develop time-feel and to expand the knowledge of any kind of rhythm, from the basic to the most complex one! The loops (stretchable) are accompanied by useful descriptions and discography references. The special "clave" button helps to go deep into the nature of different rhythms. ▶"Mauro Battisti has made it possible for anyone to play along with the greatest drummers in the world, historical and contemporary, with the ability to alter tempo. Drumgenius is a great resource that can bring any player closer to the flame.” (Dave Liebman) ▶ "Drumgenius sounds very good; I find it very handy to practice my instrument with real drums pattern that I can have always with me in my phone: thanks Mauro for this App." Dominique Di Piazza - Electric bass player (John McLaughling, Trilok Gurtu, Bireli Lagrene, Dennis Chambers) ▶ "Love this app: these loops sound fantastic! They are real drum loops – not midi or sequences – and they loop flawlessly. In addition to being a fantastic groove reference for drummers (or musicians of any kind), I think this app is fantastic for groove development as a bassist." Damian Erskine - Electric bass player (Peter Erskine, The Jaco Pastorius Big Band, Gino Vannelli, Tony Furtado), studio musician, author of bass method book series, adjunct Professor at both Portland State University and Marylhurst University – USA. ▶ “Drumgenius is a world-class teaching aid that addresses a fundamental challenge to successful performance practice for any musician: is a virtuoso educational work by a true musical virtuoso!” Harold Danko - Jazz pianist (Lee Konitz, Chet Baker, Thad Jones & Mel Lewis big band) and composer . Professor of Jazz Studies & Contemporary Media at Eastman School of Music - Rochester NY - USA. Download the app for FREE and use the PREVIEW FUNCTION for listening to all the loops before deciding to download them. Reviews of Drumgenius

Amazing practice tool - not so great app

Amazing practice tool - not so great app. Every time I go back to the app after it has been minimised on my phone, it crashes. Sometimes it crashes as I’m changing the tempo etc. Potential to be the best practice tool out there but needs a lot of work done fixing the bugs etc.

Excellent

An incredibly well conceived app. Fantastic range of looped grooves recorded with excellent fidelity and clearly categorised. High quality audio remains whilst changing tempo, option of clave alongside drums, reference to drummer/recording for further listening and a great, flexible metronome. Used every day for practise and teaching. Thank you, Drum Genius. How about a desktop version?

Hands down the best resource I’ve come across for rhythmic exploration.
Worth the fee without a doubt.
