Great app and synth controller
Tonal sound range is great, can be very expressive... In the right hands.
As with many others, I purchased to control my other synth apps. Nothing against the instrument sound, but I like other styles of music and prefer using this as a controller. Now I can truly enjoy focusing more on playing music.
More sound patches would be cool, but additional controller support would be ideal. The only request I have would be control support of an external synth modulation wheel, external pitch wheel would be redundant since pad surfaces kind of already do this.Show lessSmokeRoot
Very expressive
I can't decide who loves Orphion more, my year old son or I. I'd love to see more layouts like the 3rds Matrix in different keys/scales.Steven Taylor 75

The slap sound is just too loud compared to the other sounds
If this was fixed or a way to adjust the different levels was implemented I'd give it a 5!scgriff
Amazing in so many ways!
This app may appear simple but really offers a lot of scope for creating. The sound is amazing and it has a broad range of expression, from soft beautiful sounds to sharp percussive tones.
It also has a huge range of note arrangements which really covers everything you could ever think of, and they are fun to experiment with. The midi capability is really the extra icing on the cake to make this app a delight and a necessity.Show lessTrasswoman
Needs bug fix.
Great app. Midi update is amazing. Since updating I have experienced some bugs. Was using it to controle Animoog and now and then Orphion control would drop out. As of today Orphion crashes on start up. Updated my Ipad and reset multiple times and still crashes. Hope theres a fix on its way. Otherwise, one of my favorite apps. MIDI is cool..needs a bit more
Great update. I was having some trouble with using MIDI along with Sunrizer. The pads go silent after a while or periodically it stops playing and i have to kill the app and start again.
Some Cc dont work with sunrizer i guess.
Can you please add support of audiocopy/paste?
It might be more effective to apply the fx to a pasted wav file into the pads.

Great and original idea
Really fun and intuitive to play. Feels very responsive and natural. Would be greatly improved with the addition of more scales and layouts to play with.S4mC00p

This app just took a significant step forward from toy to musical instrument with the addition of MIDI. That said, I was having trouble getting smooth pitch-bends between notes (tends to vibrato on a note then jump, and also difficult to hit an accurate note when pitch-bend is on) but I do appreciate how its signature 'velocity' feature is included in the MIDI mapping! There are still some features I would like to see in this app, pad-layout/scale editor being the principle one, but this update is a nice step forward and one that I think musicians will appreciate. Very expressive and wonderful to play!
This app is simple to understand and start using, but deep enough to give you a really expressive instrument. It's not a toy… you can really use this to create some beautiful pieces of music. The various pad layouts offer a lot of flexibility to fit Orphion into your needs, and the addition of Midi support in the update is going to make the app even more useful to me! Would be great to see a record feature in a future update, with audio copy/paste support.Show lessferociousautodidact
Very nice, but needs more sounds
A very expressive instrument - it makes me sound as though I know what I'm doing when I play it. More sound possibilities would make it a five-star app. The koto sound wears a little thin for me after awhile.Enoch Soames
