  • A lot of potential

I wish I could give this app 5 stars, however due to the absence of a few key features, that should have been present, given the price the developer is charging, I'm forced to go with 3 stars. The application has a lot of potential. I really like the idea, and it kind of works, despite my zero understanding and experience with creating music. It would be great if the application supports recording. Furthermore it can incorporate something like sequencing and arranging to make this application more than a pass time. The moment I open the application, I feel like I can create something meaningful, however, since it has no real features, I always end up closing it after a few minutes.. For people thinking of buying this, I recommend that you wait until the developer puts in some of the above mentioned features. Without them I don't really think that there is any point in buying this app. Hope the developer further enhances this wonderful idea.

  • Version 1.0 is excellent

I love this app. As a pretty untalented beginner guitarist, I was playing the Blues and firing out some pretty snappy phrases along with some jam tracks almost immediately.
For the price, and considering it's Version 1.0, I am very impressed with this app. It's dead easy to express yourself musically. More sounds please in the next release. And a recording function too.

  • Amazing

I'm ready to make millions playing this instrument. I sound like I know something when I play. I love the music apps for the I pad and this one is now tops on my list. Great job to the guy that made this. Keep up the good work
  • Very Cool

Lots of fun, and I am am just getting started. Check the dev's site for an intro video. I did not know about the extra layouts.

Recording would be cool but it is a lot of fun to just jam.

    Cheers
  • Very nice. Lots of potential.

Like some other users have said, this is a nice 1.0 release. For me personally I would like to see adjustable scales, more subtle colors when circles are played and MIDI (internal and external) with polyphonic aftertouch per note. Good work - the expressiveness as a proof-of-concept of what is possible is great!

  • Wonderful potential!

There's a lot I love about this app, and I hope it will become a big way that I come to play music intuitively!

As it stands, it would benefit from expanding some of the features. Here are my suggestions:

    1. Allow the scales which can be played to be customizable, not just by moving up and down via half steps but being able to go from major to minor, etc.

    2. Have more physical layouts, or even a way for us to custom design our own layouts.

    3. Have a bigger selection of tones above the one that is currently available.

4.The ability to record and export what we play would be nice, too.

In all, it is very good as it stands, and I encourage anyone who is interested to check it out. I'll upgrade to five stars once some additions are made!

  • Wonderful! But could be so much better!

Ok, this is a joy to play. You can certainly create some wonderfully expressive musical passages.

However, it could be so much better.

Here's my wish list for an update:

    1) Provide a way to create custom layouts with my choice of notes for each circle. For instance i could create a layout for different scales, for instance a Dorian scale or something a bit more exotic like say a Hijazkiar scale. Or i could even create my own custom scale.

    2) Either provide more sounds or ways to shape the sounds perhaps with a different sound per circle. Better yet, Allow me to play sounds from other apps, for instance Animoog or Grain Science through Virtual MIDI.

These improvements would make this an even more delightful way to play music with awesome flexibility. I'd absolutely come back and bump it to 5 stars.

Regardless, thanks for a great musical app.
