  • Finally, we needed a app like this!

I met some really awesome people on this thing and it’s great for seeing what others are into and playing!
  • Awesome!!!

I really like this app. I've made friends from all around the world on this app!. If you always talk about music to friends or family and they never understand what you mean this app is definitely for you.
This app is suitable for anyone with any skill level!!. I wouldn't really recommend that younger kids download this app, because of adult language in posts. Great app for teenagers and adults🤘🏻
  • Great app

This app is super easy to use and so far no bugs I love it
  • Awesome app

I love using this. I am a guitar teacher and I learn from other great players on here that I admit are better then me
  • Great concept, Too buggy an no community

This app had great potential but somehow updates have made it into an unusable app in the year 2017

    Sincerely, your pal RyFry
  • Very cool!!

A community that revolves around guitar/music!! I love it!!!
  • It's okay I think

    Pros:
    - Good way to reserve ideas
    - Good way to get feedback from other musicians
    - Good social aspect

    Cons:
    - Not a good way to share your work outside of the app (meaning, unless another person has the app or if you show the audio file in person, one cannot share their music with others)
    - Only can record 45 second intervals
    - Can't save audio files directly to phone after posted
  • SucksString

I spent over three years on this app as an active user that submitted guitar related content. Myself and others were really having a pleasant time until the internet bullying. The app developers let the community run itself so it's been common for people to get bullied by some of the abrasive, regular users. There really isn't 26,000+ users, there are about 30 active users. I'm guessing that is downloads. It was an interesting app when the developers would update it more often. It died off fast with the people (possibly change to a paid subscription for a more reliable experience). I found the saddest aspect of it was not well moderated and regulars have treated new (and some old) users very poorly. No chatroom feature. No DM feature. The search feature is clunky and the archiving of quality information is a joke. A lot of crashing and too many bugs to mention. I'm giving it one star where it had the potential to be a solid five.
  • Great, supportive app--it is what you make it

a rvw I read said "not for professionals".I disagree on many levels: As a pro we can offer encouragement, ideas and technical help to less experienced players. There are many great players on the sight if you seek after them (just dont fan who you dont enjoy). True, there are some neebies but babies are no less part of the (guitar)family as are geezer-seasoned-pros who can, if creative enuf, can use the site to support their biz as well. it offers opt to record and get feedback, mention concert dates, And just enjoy other encouraging music lovers!
  • Great Community, Great App

This app has just enough features to make it very usable and easy to share pics, audio and video. But what I love even more is the community around this app, which is a huge resource for guitarists, not to mention a great source of laughs and support. Keep it up, SixString!!
