The community is awesome, supportive, and a boundless source of information for all skill levels of guitarists. There are Luthiers, tech reviews, electronics discussions, and plenty of music to go around. Don't be afraid to jump right in and share or ask questions, the feedback is great. Only knock on this app, is there are a few glitches that need to be worked out.
This app is a must have for all guitarist and bassist!! It puts you in touch with a community of your peers and allows you to post audio, video, pictures and text . You get instant feedback on that new song idea or that technical issue you are having with your gear. It is an awesome resource to have.
The best feature of this app is the community of guitar playing users. Great way to share gear info, song ideas, and encouragement. The app itself could use a few tweaks, but even as it is now it's great. I'm sure they'll continue to update it, and after a few tweaks/upgrades it'll be a 5 star app for sure.

This app is a great place for guitarists to gather and share their pics, audio clips, questions and ideas for playing, gear, practicing, etc. It's a great community and for the most part everyone is positive, encouraging, and just trying help each other become better players.
The app is terrific. The people are awesome, friendly and helpful. Been a member for about a month so far and it's already helped my playing and ability on the guitar! I highly recommend this to anyone that is interested in guitars.

It's really awesome to be able to connect with different level guitarists! Can easily spend hours on this app! Absolutely love it! One thing though: can you please add a way to private message other users and maybe increase the amount of video and audio record time.
If you play a 6, 7, 8 or 12 string guitar or a 4, 5 or 6 string bass you NEED this app. It allows you to connect to people like me and you and they are like an instant family and 1000% supportive. I've only been a member for 10-12 days and I've grown in my axe skills simply from the endless advice I have received! GET THIS APP shredders!!
My 2nd review for the app... Months ago it was pretty disappointing. The ideas were there, but the kinks were not worked out. NOW it is very operable and running smoothly. No more crashes on my iPod! A must have entertaining app for ALL Guitarists! Props to everyone who makes SixString what it is!
