Do not update.
After upgrading it deleted all my saved articles, and the new interface is awful.
New version tv screen works but not intuitive
I had to read the reviews here to figure out what was going on with the app in my iPad, here is my review.
A. Screen appears small in landscape mode, the image is zoomed, and there is no little square with arrow to seize up the image. I thought that DW had decided to get rid of it.
B. The solution is to turn the iPad to portrait mode and then: touch the tv image to widen it, only then you can turn back to portrait mode and watch the news.
Please put the square by the image so we can enhance it without turning. I can imagine many people had the same trouble.

Video no longer fills screen
This latest version only plays live TV in a small box. Am I missing something?
Live video doesn't play anymore!
The only missing feature is the ability to play live tv. I used to play it before but after some updates it doesn't work.

Thank you for using the DW App. The live stream ist functioning correctly. For further troubleshooting please contact service@dw.com including information which device and iOS version you are using, which live stream you want to watch and what exactly happens when you try to open it.
Great content- flawed app
The pages don't load properly on iPad meaning you get unfinished paragraphs. Great shame!
Very annoying
Why is it playing everything in Arabic? This has happened quite suddenly without any clue? I've been using this app for years and now, I don't even switch it on. It's sad! How could they cut out all their English speaking viewers.
Great, needs larger font
This is a great app and I like the content. My only issue is the size of the font when reading. If I could adjust the font, that would be better.
Very limited and half-baked
The app doesn't do justice to the quality of DW reporting and programming..Why can't one choose articles/reports/video according to category?or date?or region/country?Facebook sharing doesn't work!! Please hire a better programmer/app developer.
Reduced choice of languages
Why has the choice for languages reduced to only a few, on my iPhone I have (Dari) language which brings all the news for Afghanistan but on my iPad I don't get the option, and if I select Persian language then all the news displayed would be for Iran.
Works well
No longer crashing. A great app with excellent content for keeping up to date with Germany. Danke!
