New design is terrible
The app is slower, the search function is gone and it's not showing the latest stories. I hate this roll it back.
The interface is irrelevant and frankly garbage
Honest feedback to the devs. I love DW articles and content so this one’s a tough one…ever since the update the same articles and headlines are pinned to the home page.
Instead of the latest news and articles it’s always the same headlines the authors or whoever is trying to get more eyes on shoved in our faces. I’m literally seeing the same articles for the past 10 days.
This needs a serious review because to be quite honest it’s annoying, irrelevant and makes me not want to open the app.
You’ll find more up to date news in last weeks printed news paper. Sheesh.

Crashes and freezes
It’s a shame they’ve ruined this app, it’s just not usable as it crashes or freezes every time you open it.

Flawed app design.
This new updated version although initially looks better is clunky and not easy to navigate. It often features news which is out of date.
Ruined - deketed
The October change has ruined this normally excellent news source. Deleted today. Surprised at DW for such a lack of awareness.
Not Compatible with iPad OS 15.1
The stories fill the first and second time after installing/reinstalling the app and then nothing fills the screen. Kindly update the app. Thanks.
UPDATE- I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve deleted and reloaded this app. I would think DW would test the apps before release. News stories from October 27, aren’t helpful up top when current news is nowhere to be found.

Back arrow
Even though the app is quite good, why would you put the back arrow down in the lower left corner in the redesign? It is so frustrating.
New version is TERRIBLE!!
Clicking on notifications and trying to open a news story opens the app and the screen is blank!
Have to kill and re-launch multiple times
