Used to be my favorite
I have had this app for years and it was my go to. I work and visit multiple locations that I have saved in my list so I can refer to them quickly. My location is set to “follow me”. Now for a few months, I’ve started getting alerts for my saved locations as well as my current location. It never used to do this PLEASE TURN IT OFF. I’m sick of getting alerts for watches and warnings “in my location” that are not in fact in my location. On the verge of deleting.Trying to hold out hope for what used to be the best app.

Fantastic app and no ads!
Too many ads!
I didn’t mind when it was one ad to spend a few minutes looking at radar and the upcoming forecast, but now it is ad before you can look at each thing. Open the app. Ad. Radar. Ad. Daily forecast. Ad. Hourly forecast. Ad. Sit too long on something. Ad. Deleted.
To many ad’s deleted couldn’t even get to the weather with out a ad popping up every 10 seconds!

This used to be my favorite weather app. One 30 second ad is bad enough, but you’re being ridiculous thinking that people will watch 2-3 ads on an app that I look at for less than a minute, usually just to check the radar. I can’t believe you idiots have forced me to give The Weather Channel all of my personal information just to check our local weather!!! You did a completely thorough job forcing this long time user to leave…

Ad makes app inaccessible
Really hate that you had to put in ads. Not only is it annoying, but now it locks up. The X to close the ad is up in the corner where I can’t click on it. And every time I close the app and restart, the same ad comes up. I can no longer use the app at all.
Why all the ads???
Used to be a pretty decent app.. now it plays ads - long ones, it’s become so frustrating!!! Because of this I am deleting it!
WHY ADS!?
I’ve had this app for YEARS and have always liked it… until here recently. I’m not sure what changed but it now has adds every time you click on something. There is a storm coming our way right now and I have to wait 30seconds (or more) so I can see what is happening on radar. It sucks! If there was an emergency I don’t want to have to watch an add first! It’s the weather - every second matters! I hope they change it back to how it used to be.

Double ads to check the weather… this app was completely free for 10-15 years and they changed radars they used as well as ads in your face…
Ruined by Ads
This is an excellent app for weather and alerts but recently the ads have been obnoxious and obtrusive and many are from disreputable companies.
Great App, If You Love Ads
This app used to be amazing. I loved its radar and the fact I could watch live coverage. Unfortunately, this app is now unusable because I cannot stop getting ads. I close the app, the same ad immediately pops up before I can even see the app. Watch the full ad, it immediately pops up again as soon as you hit “close.” Don’t waste your phone space on this one.

Pop ups ruined this app
This used to be the best weather app for Oklahoma, with precision radar and weather alerts. But now it’s full of pop-up ads that make the app unusable. Time to find a new app.
Good but it’s getting bad
So it’s a good weather app from what I’ve seen. The interface and usability is very clean and intuitive. The radar is a bit clunky but serviceable. However the ads are making it unpleasant to use and are really making me look elsewhere. I understand stuff is expensive to run but in the past it was banner ads or ads before the videos. Now every time you switch between tabs like hourly or daily or video it hits you with a full screen timed ad. Not one of those cute ones either it’s more “you have viruses tap here to download a cleaner” or “your account is restricted tap here to clear the issue” and they always have more than one x to close so you think you are closing the ad but really you are tapping the ad. Now this may not be something the app controls, I’m not a programmer so I admit I may be ignorant here but it still makes my experience with the app less enjoyable. To the apps credit when you are in an alert area is avoids giving you ads from what I’ve seen. But I will start weighing options

Has a lot of Virus alerts
I keep getting alerts that say I have viruses on my phone that are scams. Somebody is going to fall for them. Needs an update to get rid of them unless developers have given permission for them.
The app now has ad’s. Very disappointing
The app now has ad’s or “commercials” when it never used to before. The ads are also those fake scam or your “accounts being restricted” ads that try to get you to click on it and input your information. I am very disappointed because I have been using this weather app for years. I have always loved it and recommended it to people but now I will not recommend it and am considering switching weather apps.

Awful update
You can’t slow down any of the radar. It’s tough to see when a line of storms may hit your area as the time tracks. I use the future cast to see what the storms are doing before it gets to us. We live up in the mountains and sometimes the storm splits and won’t even hit us. I’m ready to go to another app. There are plenty of other free ones.

Unskippable ads
Ads that take up the whole screen and can’t be skipped are a terrible idea for an app being used for severe weather. When I need information FAST I don’t want to be dealing with ads.
Ads are ridiculous!
Ads! Really? This is a life saving app and now it has ads? Some are persistent and take away time that could be needed for quick safety precautions! This is ridiculous and is not helpful!!!!
Commercials 😡
Guys the commercials are NO BUENO!!! That’s super uncool when you’re trying to see severe weather and a loud obnoxious commercial pops up, you have to fight to make it go away!!! That’s going to be a delete 4 warn me and just use Radar scope~ NOT SAFE
Now with annoying pop up ads
I held on to this app for years despite the fact that the precip radar was delayed by several minutes, and despite that the actual forecast for precip and temps seldom matched up with what the news agency reported on their television broadcasts. So, now they want to add annoying pop up ads that you have to wait on to run its course before you can be (mis) informed or delayed receiving anything of use. No thanks.
