Has served me well for years!
I replaced my old wrist/velcro-style (yep!) GymBoss with the app version many years ago. It has been awesome for all my various workouts. I love that you can just rename a timer and it auto-creates a new one that can be modified. There’s been several improvements over the years. I have probably 30 timers and I’m always tweaking them or adding new ones. I don’t know what I’d do without this app!!Show lessNM2BA

You wrecked my app!
Have loved this app for years! Sadly, it’s just useless space in my phone now. As others have noted, timer won’t work with other apps running or when screen locks. Occasionally switches out sounds. Occasionally signals 2 separate intervals within a couple seconds. Then it won’t beep at all…until you stop the timer. Then it resumes beeping. Given that it appears these problems started with an update a year ago, the developer have decided this isn’t the career for them. Sad to say I’m moving on. Bye, boss.Show lessEveSchus
Not the best
If you’re going to use GymBoss, go to their website and buy a GymBoss. This app will not sound off unless you take your phone off of silent. If the screen times out(even if you lock the screen) there’s no notification alert. My coworkers and I utilize GymBoss at work because we have visual rounds to conduct at specific times and it’s very loud so we can’t miss it. But this app fails to meet the standards of an actual GymBoss. Fix these issues and I’ll write another review with 11 stars.Show lessRudeboy Remy
Very Useful
I love this app. It's very useful and versatile. You can create your own timer with the parameters you need in addition to using the pre-programmed timers provided. Chimes stop working midway

Alarm stopped working
I have loved the app for years. But I can’t hear the alarm now. And some times the songs in my play list gets stuck in the same song. Can anyone help me?KarAbb9
Useless
I’ve used this for years up until now. It once was one of the best I tried until I found that it would not beep if the screen was not up and running constantly. I’m a trainer that relies on this working consistently. If I navigate back to my notes the counter stops working and it never beeps to let you know the interval ended. My campers and I are frustrated with this useless app. Not realistic to only have that app open and nothing else running. USELESS. Finding something more efficient. Don’t waste your time unless you want to keep your screen on the entire workout and don’t count on switching screens at any point during the interval or it’s all thrown off. Update ruined it
I agree with others who found the recent update to completely ruin this app. I use it for breathing exercises (the sounds it makes tell me when to breath in and out) and like to have it on in the background while I do other things on my phone to help me relax. That no longer works as the sounds don’t sound anymore unless this app is front and center. I don’t want to have to find another app and reprogram all my exercises into it. I kind of dodged a bullet
I got lucky in that I didn’t install the update until after my half marathon last weekend. Because now, as others have said, the app doesn’t play with my phone’s screen locked so now I’m in the market for a new timer.
Update: I’ve settled on the “Seconds” app. It fully suits my needs for run/walk. It looks promising for more complex speed workouts but I haven’t tried it yet.Show lesspaxsarah
