Disappointingly finicky
I use this app daily, and multiple times through the day. The biggest problem I have is the inconsistency in UI. It’s like flipping a coin, half the time I use the app is simply refuses to load any grades at all and the screen stays completely blank with no possible fixes. This has been an problem for the multiple years I’ve used this platform. I would’ve expected it to be fixed by now but I’m still met with daily disappointment. Fix it please.

Honest Opinion on Skyward.
This is for sure the downfall of skyward. I have been in a school district that uses skyward my whole life. I have noticed how much worse skyward has gotten recently. It is so much slower and does not corporate with me as well as it use to. It doesn’t even load on the iPad anymore. I get errors left and right, and half of my grade records are gone. I use to like skyward but now this is sad.
It’s time for schools to stop overpaying Skyward for a program that doesn’t even work.

Works but with tons of bugs and super behind on new features
Imagine this you have a house with a roof as leaves. Sure it does the job kinda well and it lets water in but at least theres a roof. This is how the app works. So many bugs, were almost in ios 14 and its slow. Eather fix it or start from the ground up
An actual honest review
My school uses Skyward for students to use for checking grades, attendance, disciplines, etc. I personally feel like the platform is very good for what it’s intended for. No, the mobile app isn’t as advanced as the desktop version in my opinion, but it still works good. I guess I don’t really have anything else to say since it’s main purpose is simple lol.
Also, pretty much everything said with the app crashing, lagging, etc. is all made up, or it’s a problem that has nothing to do with the app itself. The app “crashing” when you close out of it for a second is because “Background App Refresh” is on in your phone’s settings. And your password having to be reset is your school’s choice, not the app’s. (no I don’t work on the Skyward staff)

Umm, it’s not working
Before, Skyward was working great. I could look at my grades and see my schedule and everything. Now, Skyward is not working. Whenever I go onto the app, it doesn’t load and just shows me a white screen. I even tried to delete and redo load the app, but its still not working. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

Disappointed, unsatisfied, angry.
It’s very common to have to use this app to check your child’s grades and see their schedule, but it’s nearly impossible to do any of that because of the app and websites buggy nature! Anytime I use it on the laptop, it says I have to “install a selection”. I have tried many times, but it STILL WON’T WORK. As for the app, it’s EXTREMELY slow. If the developer could manage to make the app faster then MAYBE it would be 3 stars. But until then, 1 star. If I could do zero stars, then I would!

Not good enough for eight years
This app has been in the App Store, available as a platform to check homework and manage school for eight years, and yet it still seems to have problems expected in a relatively new app.
The app is not as navigable as it has the potential to be, and the performance thereof is extremely glitchy. Also, the extra security with that ridiculous passcode is unnecessary. I’ve used apps with much less security to safeguard more private information. It’s not as if I care if people get a glimpse at my straight A’s either. And what’s the major threat with a glitchy school-sponsored app? That someone will hack in and do my homework for me? Sure wouldn’t want that to happen. 🙄
In addition, the app crashes when one switches from app to app, or even accidentally presses the home button. I am almost certain this is an easy fix, considering I have no other apps with this problem.
Looking at the version history, it doesn’t seem like the app developers at skyward have noticed their early-2000s quality graphics or utter dysfunction of their app; they haven’t even reached a second version of the app (despite it desperately needing updates) which goes to show that these developers are not trying hard enough.
So do us all a favor, skyward, and update your app!

It’s ok
Although this app works it’s not the best. It’s nice that it auto signs out when you clear the app and that it recognizes you fingerprint as a sign in option. But, if you switch apps it and then return without fully closing the app it crashes, which is extremely annoying, especially if you accidentally click the home button.
This is for skyward in general, why do I have to change my password every six months?! Why?! Every other password protected service doesn’t make you switch your password and, most of the time, they have more personal/sensitive information than your grades. I personal could care less if someone else saw my grades, but I get why people wouldn’t like to have their password stolen and people be able to see their grades. But. It should have an option to make it so you didn’t have to change your password every six months.

toxic app
THIS TRIFFLING APP had the nerve to talk about i’m failing science first i’m not failing science i am a very smart student and i should know if i’m failing. This app has the nerve to talk about i’m slow and i got missing assignments first of all you built like a missing assignment. I feel like if you got a app that going to tell about your grades and tell you what type of person you are then you should not get skyward. because it’s triffling i wish i could rate it a 0 but i got to rate it a one because APPLE app store is triffling and wanna talk about one start like girl bye .

Great App Overall - Does the Job
My only request would be notifications. If a teacher puts in a grade, I really wish I could know right away instead of checking for an update every 5 mins. Also hope it’s more like the computer version - allow access to GPA and other online perks of the online version. Overall it’s a great app tho!!
