Pretty good, minus the navigation
As stated previously, the app is great for allowing people to check grades. However, not only is it a long process to check the grades, but once you get there you are very likely to go back to the first page by tapping the upper left corner (generally the back button) instead of the actual back button on the other side (far smaller) located just beneath settings. Often, if you aren't careful you open settings instead of going back to the previous page. I can deal with a long startup process by having to go through the current navigation, but the back button issue drives me crazy! PLEASE FIX!!!!

Things need to change
While I like being able to check my grades on my phone, there are some really big flaws that could be fixed easily. First off, when I look at my grades, I'd also like to be able to see my GPA. I don't think it would be very hard to just put that at the top if the screen so you can see how you're doing in a whole. Second, I constantly tap the "accounts" button when I want to go back to the main menu of my account, so I'm taken back to some other place where I can either sign in to my account or create a new one. I DONT NEED A NEW ACCOUNT can you please change this so the top left button on the screen is a simple "back" button and not a "go back to where you were born and start your journey all over again" button? K thanks.

Better than nothing...but not much
I'm a teacher new to Skyward this year. I really appreciate having an app to do some on-the-fly entry of attendance and grades.
That said, this app needs some serious attention to make it more streamlined and functional.
1. It needs to show when you've already taken attendance in a class. I enter attendance for 6 different periods plus multiple TAs and independent studies during the day and with everything else gong on, sometimes I can't remember what I've entered and when. The desktop version has one page that shows when attendance has been taken; the app should do so, maybe by color coding classes, or at the very least turning the "save" button to "save again" or something.
2. The buttons are too small for effective touch screen use. I don't have hot dog fingers yet I am constantly hitting the wrong class or link.
3. you should be able to go straight from one class's attendance screen to the next class without going back and forth and sometimes all the way back to the home screen of your account. I don't mind entering my pin again as a security measure but on e in it should be a lot more simple to get from class to class to take attendance.

Needs improvement
I hope the owners of skyward listen, because all they say on their app description is to give feedback in order to improve the app. Unfortunately, they must not be listening to the reviews. Although useful, it is very limited. One major improvement that needs to be made is that they have to include the entire calendar. Pressing the next and previous day button takes too long to load and isn't accessible. In addition, if it were a perfect world, skyward should be able to send you push notifications or even texts with new grades. That would be awesome. Hope they listen though....

Thank you!
Yes! Awesome! Stumbled across this when I was looking for something else. Agreed, it needs some work and tweaking on the finer points of the app, but I can totally see this helping me out tremendously in the future. I have three different classrooms, but only one has a computer, so when I need to take attendance in one of my rooms without a computer, I have a way to do it now. Those of you who have commented about the pin problem, it's asking you to set up your own pin so multiple skyward accounts can use the same app. This will be important to some teachers like my husband. One iPad used by multiple teachers.
