  • Not so good...

Firstly, using Yelp as a search engine is a really bad idea...try it and find out! This is probably the very worst aspect of the app. Secondly, having to purchase voice directions as an “extra”in a paid for Sat Nav is really not on. Thirdly, there is little “intuitive” about this app. “Maps” or “Google Maps” are so easy...Co-pilot is not. I ride a motorcycle and find the whole thing so “user unfriendly” that I don’t choose to use it. This is a real disappointment since the offline navigation concept is exactly what I required. I’m sure some people find Co-pilot good (3.2 in reviews) but sadly, not me!
    Update...
The “voice” problem has resolved itself via a reset. Still finding search process difficult. When I can find the place I want the app works well...particularly through a helmet Bluetooth headset. Very impressed with instant contact from Copilot team regarding initial review.

  • Good app but very poor address search

I have been using Copilot for many years and have used it in the UK and in various countries across Europe. It's generally served us well on holiday road trips across much of Western Europe. But what doesn’t work well, and never has, is the app’s ability to find addresses, especially landmarks (major hotels, tourist attractions, etc.). The interface is very clunky and it’s far too hard to find what you’re looking for. Many times I’ve had to google a point of interest to find its address because I just couldn't find it in the app. This is a major problem and the developers need to completely rethink their interface because unless you have a postcode, its far too difficult and verging on unusable. If fact, I’ve now taken to using google maps for navigation, when I have the data, because of this problem.

The other problem I encounter is with rerouting. This is also a very clunky process, and definitely not what’s needed when you are forced to use it.

  • Soo good

This app is great I have managed to not get lost since having it. Very good would recommend
  • Excellent Programme

Been using it for some years now on iPad and iPhone. In all respects it's a great app that does its job well with no fuss.
  • Wonderful when you are in a new country

I drove all around Europe with this. It never let me down taking me through some tricky routes due to one way streets. Sometimes I missed a turn off due to the complexity of the interchanges and straight away it gave me an alternative route to get where I was going. The voice guided component is great when you are on your own. Even in Iceland it was great, and useful when walking around cities. Great value for money with the whole of Europe for a reasonable value. I appreciated it showing the motorway signs so you know you are in the right lane, something that can be tricky with multi-line highways.

  • EXCELLENT APP

This app is an excellent tool with very good response to any problems. Have used it on many trips and it has never failed me.
  • Terrific aid to navigation

We have just spent 2 weeks in the Canadian Maritimes, a place neither of us has been to before. I downloaded the Canada map and used it to navigate while my Canadian-born partner drove. It never let us down once and we were in some pretty obscure places. I don't know how good the voice-assisted part of the app is as we didn't need it. Fantastic overall for us though.

  • Good nav app

Good results with address searches, easy to navigate with. I don't find the menu particularly intuitive to use, but it does the job.
  • Mean as!

This app is mean. I plugged my ipad into the car stereo and tested wether i could hear the instructions over the music and i could. Obviously nobody wants to get lost and thats easy to do if you cant hear instructions on how to get there. The options between 3D and 2D werent very much different from one another. When you have no destination keyed in you have the option of turning it off or leaving it on, of course if you choose to leave it on, the accuracy of where you are is amazing and you can easily switch over to music mode if you no longer wish to use the gps. Wonderful app enjoyed by the entire family. Mean as app i will recommend it to all my friends, they will findit just as affordable and easy to use as i did. Thank you

  • Great for everywhere but Auckland, NZ

This app is fantastic once you have your destination(s) loaded - customization is fantastic but loading a destination is frustrating to say the least in Auckland as you have to know the correct district. Sometimes I just give up but if you have it all loaded on already you're sweet!
Great traveling tool as you can have maps from around the world all in one app.
