There is also a function where you can track your flight, which can run in the background while flying. Note: "Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life."

Private pilot

After hearing of a few acquaintances having their log books get stolen, or otherwise go missing I thought it mould be good to have a back up for my paper copy. This works on both my Apple devices as well as my windows devices. It works well for what I need. I have had a few issues where I have contacted support. Replies have always been quick and helpful.
