  • Absolutely beautiful, gorgeous, fantastic, etc

I love anything related to the universe and played quite a lot of space 4X games, but this app, despite not being a game, massively satisfies my love for comprehending the wonderfulness of the great Universe. It has gorgeous graphics, the zooming in and out between the different scopes is smooth and really gives the breath-taking effect. The music is very, very nicely made, something that would mesmerise you that makes you believe you're floating in space. The videos and speeches are all wonderfully made, and the knowledge it provides will make almost make you cry, because you know in your lifetime you would never fully understand everything in this universe...

Anyway this app is not simply some boring educational app, but a very nicely made entertaining, educational app that not only gives you knowledge but also makes you love such knowledge. Highly recommended!

  • I mean just...my god!

This officially makes my iPad feel like a futuristic piece of technology. I zoomed out from Earth, then from the solar system, then from our galaxy, then from a galaxy cluster, then out to a super cluster and then to a view of the universe I have never been able to imagine. I literally gasped out load and starred at this sight for several minutes before zooming all the way back into subatomic particles. This app is amazing. And it will really make you understand your place in the universe.

  • Awesome. This is how a book should work.

I'm a huge fan of Brian Cox's videos, and this app has the same feel, and many HD video excerpts from them. It puts other space learning apps to shame. Buy this -- it's probably the best $7 book you'll ever buy.

My only complaint (which knocks off a star) is that there seems to be a bug when selecting content. If I tap on something I want to learn more about (e.g. Venus), it focuses but the content bar never comes up. Or if it does, it shows the last thing it was focused on. The only way I've found to get the appropriate content for an object is to use the search box.

  • Love love it!!!!

I have read book and seen the tv. But this one is still a must have!
Finally I found myself a best reason to have a New iPad!
The animation, the pictures...everything is perfect! Just wanting more from future update.
  • Simply Beautiful

This is quite possibly the most magnificent app in the app store. Especially on the retina display iPad, every detail of this app is evident. This is a very well thought-out, highly interactive app about The Universe that will wow anybody, and teach everybody. It's apparent that everyone involved in making this app loves what they do, as this is well executed.

Thank you! Keep up the great work!

  • A new generation of app : WOW!

This is the kind of app that makes your ipad purchase worthwhile. The menu system is amazing and the 3d experience of the universe takes it all to another level. And then there are all the videos and content that explain every element of the universe. Ive been immersed for the last hour.

The downside is that its quite a big app and you need to be on wifi to stream the video. And sometimes it's a bit jittery, but a small price to pay.

If you are into astronomy, astrology or borderline geek, this is a no brainer app to buy especially for parents of kids. New generation of astrology geeks are about to awaken thanks to professor cox.

  • 6 stars - Spectacular

Wonders of the Universe provides an experience that will excite young and old alike and reignite childhood fascination with the beauty and splendor of our universe.

The graphics and videos are beautiful, and the music is perfectly suited to the job. Prof. Cox as always does a fantastic job. Carl Sagan would be proud.
