I love this app but the pronunciation feature is missing in the latest update.
  • Perfect pocket dictionary

I'm currently living in France and I've had the app for about 18 months now. It really is the perfect pocket dictionary, helping me to decipher restaurant menus, super market shelves and lots more while I'm out and about. So much easier than carrying a printed dictionary and just as good. I probably use it for reference every day and have found it extremely helpful. Also brilliant that it's all stored on your phone, no internet connection required to access it - perfect for rural France!! I would definitely recommend it.

  • Very Useful!!!

It's a very useful dictionary with pronunciation for most words!!!
The only thing I wish is less advertisement and easier searching process. As for right now, you cannot search for a word you see in the explanation by highlighting it. I wish someday it'll have the function of searching by highlighting words in the app!!!

  • Purchased the original App, but it no longer works, and there is no available support

I originally purchased this same App. about a year ago, and paid, in order not to see the banner adverts. I found it to be a good, useful App. However, recently the App. suddenly stopped working and whenever I opened it, I just received an error message. I found that there is no support available; no one to contact, and it seems that the original App. which I had downloaded, has disappeared from iTunes, only to re-appear as a "new", different App, which is essentially the exact same thing. I was forced to download the "new" App. just so that I could leave these comments, as I found that there was no other way.

  • Amazing

Very easy and effective, wide range of words and phrases too
  • Works well

    Interface is user friendly
  • A precious companion to a Learner of French

A good dictionary doesn't suffice to give a definition of a word. It makes you acquainted with that particle of the language world by giving the necessary elaboration. This is exactly what this dictionary does both ways.
  • Very good

I am a mature student learning French, and I find this app quick and easy to use for reference whilst in my class. The phrases are useful too..and it cost me nothing! What's not to like :)
  • No Audio

The App still offers good translations but the speaker icon to hear the correct pronunciation of each French word has been removed. No explanation as to why either. Now this App it's just one of the bunch. The audio feature that attracted me to it is no longer supported.
  • Useful and Reliable

I work as a translator in the quality assurance department of a medical device company selling product to France. I use this app to double check the wording of my translations. For this reason I appreciate that the dictionary gives several possibilities for a given word. I also appreciate that the dictionary can be downloaded for offline use.

Sometimes I find that it is missing medical terminology, but this is understandable.

I would like to suggest an improvement in the search box where it can check for miss spelled words rather than simply pulling up the words starting with the first few letters of what is being typed.

All in all it is a very helpful app that I use daily.
