Essential App for Solar Storm Preparedness and Awareness
I've been using Solar Alert for a few months now, and it has become an essential app for me. The early warning system is highly accurate and gives me peace of mind knowing I can prepare for potential solar storms. The app's interface is user-friendly, with easy-to-understand alerts and detailed technical information available if needed. A feature I particularly appreciate is the Solar Plasma Monitor, which visually provides a magnificent simulation of solar events in space impacting Earth, along with useful realtime data on the remaining time until they reach us. It has helped me understand the correlation between solar events and disruptions in electronics and communications. The app also offers great educational content about the sun and its impact on Earth. Moreover, the subscription plans are reasonably priced, and the app is worth every penny for the safety and awareness it provides. The developers are responsive and regularly update the app with new features and improvements. The only app that has a collection of reliable sources, that funnels the important info directly to you with the option of getting as nerdy as you like with the science. This information has helped me stay safe during the recent solar events and I can’t recommend them enough.The horse was a surprise
Very confusing interface and hard to only receive critical alerts
The interface looks very high quality but there are buttons all over the place and besides the ones at the top, they are difficult to figure out what they will show without clicking each one individually and that is very time consuming. Instead maybe if they just stated in a word(s) what they will show? I only want to know critical alerts but everyday I receive what they categorize as a “critical alert” only to find out that it is referring to a “moderate event”?! So it’s a case of the boy who cried wolf, whenever I receive critical alerts from this app now I usually ignore them because they do not correspond to critical or extreme events, just moderate ones, which actually defeats the which actually defeats the whole purpose! Actually as I am writing this I am receiving one right now! I’m thinking of just turning off notifications altogether at this point and have already cancelled my renewal of this potentially great, but currently useles app.Show lessMontgomerycnj

Buttons and Interface: • We appreciate your comment about the button layout. We’d like to clarify that each button is designed to indicate its functionality through its icon and image. While we understand it may take some time to get used to, we believe this layout provides a more visual and direct experience. This allows users to quickly identify their purpose in an easy and intuitive manner and offers more functionalities on your Apple iOS device screen, providing you with the fastest and most complete space weather alert system available on the App Store. We recommend exploring the interface; once familiar, using the app will become more intuitive. 2. Critical Alerts: • Critical alerts are not sent frequently, as they are related to major solar events impacting Earth. For this reason, they only activate in truly relevant situations, making it impossible for you to receive critical alerts daily. We suggest reviewing your notification threshold settings, as you can adjust Solar Alert notifications to receive only the alerts you need based on your preferences. 3. Subscription Cancellation: • We regret that you are considering canceling your subscription. By doing so, you might miss important alerts about the next major solar event, such as the Carrington Event. We encourage you to reconsider canceling and instead adjust your notification preferences. To do this, tap the white button on the main screen and select “notification threshold.” There you can adjust the notifications according to your preferences and receive only the most relevant alerts for you. Remember, we are available for you to contact us through the feedback option within the app by tapping the “i” icon for information. We are happy to assist with anything you need.
