Awesome software!
Always know what you own already - no more duplicate purchases of CDs or books (or DVDS or games). Help locate your media. Can't remember the author? you can keyword search. This software lets you carry your libraries on your phone and iPad, syncing with your laptop. Easily move things you donate to keep a record of gifts. Keep track of things to loan to friends - you can even send them email to nudge them to return something.

Best of the Best of the Best
Best catalogue program going for Apple hardware.
Good idea, but some flaws
Pros: attractive interface, good integration with Bookpedia. The barcode scanner works pretty well, although it has some difficulty with shiny books.
Cons:
When scanning directly into the iPhone (as opposed to using the app as a tool for scanning into Bookpedia, which requires a you to have access to your computer, a wifi connection, and BP running), you only have access to the app's native database (doghouse), which is not complete.
You can't edit any entries on-the-go from within the app, only within Bookpedia.
Overall: Works best as a remote scanner for Bookpedia - and when used that way, works very well. Scans multiple items quickly and easily and warns you of items you've already catalogued.

Mediocre app!
Have been using the desktop software for several years...very good app. However, this iPad app is mediocre at best. As another reviewer stated, it looks good at first site but after using it, especially with a sizable collection, you'll quickly notice it's mediocrity. It took 2 years after the first iPad was introduced to get this app and since then the company has only released very minor updates with most of those being bug fixes. You don't even have the ability to view your collection in grid form! How can something as necessary and elementary as that be overlooked with it being 2 years late to the game. There's no ability to add movies or edit directly on the iPad (something that I was immediately able to do once I went with Collectorz). As a once-loyal customer, I got tired of the lack of updates and sub-par app and moved to a better competitor!

Almost excellent
I love this app because it allows me to track my library of over 4000 books. I frequently use it in bookstores to see if I already own the book I'm looking at! It works great in conjunction with the desktop version. I'm not sure how useful it would be without that.

You could edit entries from the app. I like to include date purchased, price paid, and date read. For almost 9 months, developers have said that editing was coming. Please complete this task.

Definitely needs more work
It's easy to get all the basics up and running and create something that looks good at first glance. It's when you use it and start getting into details that this falls over. Syncing worked once for me, now it's broken. If you just want to scroll through a library of many hundreds (in my case about 2,000) titles then that thin strip down the left hand side of my iPad to view everything in just doesn't cut it. Because the wonderful App Store forces me to buy without trying I'm writing this review to help others. I would not purchase this until maybe another version or two has ironed out the bugs.

Better with every update
Used Pocketpedia since Version one and it has been a great application. Every update has been one step more in producing the best mac app yet.
I can now carry my library
I miss my old library but am delighted I can carry my new one around with me. This is an excellent app. Well done!
Love It
As a long time fan of DVDpedia on my Mac I was so excited to finally get this app. It sync seamlessly with my Mac and now I have my entire collection with me on the go. No more buying movies I already have :). Customer service from the developer is absolutely first rate. I would recommend this App as well as all the Pedia Mac apps unconditionally.
