Waste of time

Only the sign up is free and then it's all paid...

Signing up results in spam

The app itself is great, but as soon as i signed up so i could use the app, the developer started spamming me. No thanks! Two thumbs down for unethical behaviour. Don't install unless you want someone spamming you to get you to sign up for a paid subscription. Uninstall.

Great storage, frustrating app

There is a section within the iPad app that is really frustrating. When in my devices, iPad, backup section - the backup page appears with no option to return to 'home' or go 'back'. So you end up stuck on that page - even when closing down the app and relaunching. I end up having to turn off m iPad and switch it back on again before going back into the app. Useless.

So NOT user friendly :(

I tried to use this App but it is so hard to use.
You would think that the developers of this App would learn a thing or two from "Dropbox" which is so easy to use.
So thanks but no thanks. I will stick to my Dropbox :)

Excellent app & Great support

Downloaded app to desktop and mobile and both now backed up perfectly. As you would expect first back up takes 'forever' but once done daily back ups are completed very quickly. Had a question about backing up and received step by step reply from support within hours. I expect most of the negative reviews are from those who don't read the instructions or expect everything for free.

Dreadful on iPhone - fine on PC

I have had no end of issues with this hopeless app. I have written and corresponded with the company many many times and they cobble together standard emails showing a lack of understanding or eventually say they are looking into it - please don't email again as we know of the issue!!

I have paid for a 2 year service and I am simply not getting it. However the system works fine in a pc although it took days (24 hours per day to initially back up - Lord knows how long it would take if I needed to restore from backup - I would probably need a fortnight off work!!)

Won't work with auto lock, or with anything else running. It needs to be on screen and unlocked. Cannot upload photo's at all - just hangs and does nothing then tells me to check my connection. Useless junk.

Oh and you can't upload video as that's an extra service, even though I have a 2 year premium package.

So many other apps are soooooooo much better, but more expensive.

I would say - you get what you pay for.

Good for uploading photos and accessing files, crap for uploading large files

As some other reviews have said, it's terrible for uploading large files (videos and such), it just gets stuck and the latest update hasn't fixed it. This means all the photos queued behind the large file don't get uploaded since you can't skip the large file.

Also it won't work in the background so you have to have it open the whole time when uploading, not good enough when competitors can do this.

However, it does upload photos quickly and accessing my backed up files is easy and the download speed is reasonable.

Get the large file backup sorted and allow the uploads to work in background and I'll give it a better rating, just not good enough (yet) compared to the competition.

The other 5 star reviews are OBVIOUSLY fake/biased and written by just cloud employees or something!

Now I have everything on my computer on my iPad!

I use JustCloud to back up my computer. Now that I have the app, I can access everything that's on my computer right here on my iPad. That is a biiiiiig deal to me. Love it.

That said, the company could a more sophisticated plan for incremental revenue. Like other folks here, I think the whole "supercharge your upload" approach to marketing-where they constantly harass you to buy add ons-undercuts the quality of their product. It seems skeezy and outdated. It shows a lack of respect for their customers. And since I already pay a fee for their service, it looks like double dipping. Give it to us straight. Make your offerings simple and clear, and stop trying to fleece us with the bells and whistles.

Also, it sounds like a lot of folks have trouble backing up they're iDevices with the app. Personally, I'm not interested in that, but it can see where that would be frustrating.

That said, I'm happy with JustCloud on my computer, and so far, the app is serving me well.

IPhone 5 problems

I just got this app and could not back up video files from the iPhone 5. The back up errors out on the 1st video file it comes to and won't move on to other photos. I emailed support and they said they are aware of the issue and it will be fixed on an upcoming upgrade.

I'm giving them 1 star because they are aware of the issue yet their app description says it is "optimized" for iPhone 5. If they know about the issue they should say so in the description and give an estimate for the fix date. I purchased a bunch of upgrades for over $150. Right now they are useless and my money is wasted and time is passing on my 1 year subscription upgrade cycle. I'm going to cancel until they fix the issue.

Amazing prices, not so amazing app

The service they offer us by far the cheapest and best out there for any cloud storage. On the downside the app has a serious problem of not being able to sync large files, causing a "failed to sync" message.
