Go back to the previous version of the app

Since channel to switch the hurricane app to this new format. It has been less than desirable to use. The pin in your location is massive compared to the dot you used to have. The radar is complete garbage compared to the older version if you go to settings and overlays and try to change anything none of that works and stays. You cannot save your location like it claims you can, the entire app is buggy. I’m going to try to find a better app for hurricanes and for tracking storms. This app I’ve used for more than 10 years and it was fantastic! Since the update none of it is the same and it’s much worse than before.

Half the pages work, updates delayed by ~4 hours

I want to like this app. It has potential! But I feel the quality has turned into near uselessness in the last couple of years. The main problem: live channels and other websites will have updated positions and forecasts, but this app doesn’t update for 4 or more hours, which is critical to decision making!
Additionally, some pages sometimes just have no data at all. Currently: sea temps: blank. Tropics watch: blank. Satellite view: stuck in the middle of the Atlantic and no way to navigate over the gulf. Tracker: out of date constantly by at least one update compared to other sources (more than 4 hours).

Too complicated! Bring back the old style!

I really hate the new version of the app. I used to be able to open it and instantly get a clean, user-friendly forecast. Now you have to sort through tiny preview screens and a more complicated format. This used to be my go-to app because the accuracy was better but until I need finer details on weather I’m avoiding it like the plague and going elsewhere.

Tracker Good for Atlantic

The current app does a good job for the Atlantic region. There is a lot of detail and interesting information. But, being on the Texas Gulf Coast, I would like some more attention to the tropical storms that are becoming more frequent from the southwest. Those Pacific storms have an impact on the weather across the southern states.

Update it’s free and necessary during hurricane season

I’ve changed my review based of access and availability of up to date information needed during a crisis during hurricane season. So many apps are now charging for basic life saving information and this one thus far has stayed free while saving lives. They keep improving on it and that’s what matters. during hurricane season we need to know is it coming my way how bad will it be and when will it hit. Watching to see what’s out there and watching the progress is interesting but the ones that start up in the gulf and hit fast are crazy. Thanks for keeping it free and caring about the public.

Please update- Fabulous App

After the last update 11 months ago the maps stopped getting larger where you could see more details. Please fix this - I love this app and is my go to for getting true accurate information on the storms. Frustrating I can’t do this now with Ian about to make landfall and have family near the Tampa area. Fabulous app otherwise

Storm tracking

phone.

Frank Billingsly

Frank and Justin are the only two Meteorologists I trust to be the closest to what will really happen!
I don’t know if trust is the right word, but I believe they are right 95% of the time, and that’s all I need. Could have used that other 5% during the drought! I know it wasn’t your fault, but that’s a conversation for Man upstairs

Reliable and consistent

Those who are on the team for this hurricane tracker app do what they do well. Once your notifications for the app are on, you receive timely, accurate updates on systems whether in your local area or further away. It keeps you informed about systems as soon as they appear or changes in strength and location occur. This is an app I highly value and highly recommend.

Love the local radar even if not hurricane season

Even if it isn’t hurricane season, this is my go-to app for responsive and detailed radar loop images.
