  • Huge bug!

I have been playing this game for years. This morning while playing it on the very first hand I picked up a 10 with a 10. Then I drew another 10. One of my opponents, then built 10’s which I took with the 10 in my hand. I then drew the 10 of diamonds. That was now four 10’s. Then the opponent down the fifth 10. I built Kings by adding a three which I was able to pick up. Then the other opponent built 10’s and picked it up with the sixth 10 in the deck. this is not the first time that I have noticed this in the game, but it is the first time that it was so blatant!

  • Good game but with issues

I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel the need. I have played 2516 games in the hard mode and am at 56% win percentage. I just started the insane level and have played 216 games and I am at 39%. I have been playing this game for almost 60 years with real cards. I win way more games with real cards. I read you say the cards are dealt randomly. I don’t agree. I don’t make many mistakes and I can truthfully say IMHO the AI machine driving this game is slanted toward the computer. There are way too many instances where the computer gets a particularly needed card at the right time. Also I see way too many times of 4 of a kind show up in both hands. There are many other nuances regarding the cards dealt that seem to go to the computer. Hard to put in writing but my gut feeling is that this game needs a new AI machine.

  • Thought it was just me

So the gameplay itself is good in comparison to some other apps I’ve tried. This one is pretty easy to use. However, there are obvious advantages given to the computer that are not allowed for the user. For example: The board has a 2 and the computer is building 8 with a 5 & 3 together. The game will not allow me the option to pick up that 2 and 8building with a 10 card. Whereas the computer IS able to make such a move. As well as the other issues listed in previous reviews. Simply put, the computer is able to make moves that the actual user cannot.

  • Good game, would be great but the computer does cheat.

I can beat the game at any level, that is not a problem. The issue is that the computer can make a multi move build that it does not have the cards for in its hand. There is an option for this and I have it turned off, but the computer will still do this.

Example: The computer will build 3 and 4 for 7 and then add an Ace to make 8, but does not have a 7 in its current hand. It has done this to me multiple times on different levels of difficulty.

Outside of this, it is a great game with great options. I applaud the work and pray they fix the bug.

  • Great implementation of a great game

This is how to do a mobile card game: simple intuitive interface, strong AI, and customizable rules variations. And Cassino is a great historic game that deserves to be better known. Excellent.
  • Best casino gameplay

I grew up playing regular casino with my dad and brothers, at home or on the boat; so when I found a casino app I was very excited. This one has much better play options than the first one I found, like changing it to “casino royale” rules. This game is classic commercial fisherman passed time, and we do something that I wish you could do on here. We use the jokers as (-1/-2) wild cards. We have some decks that have them as (-1), and others have (-2). We also play with multiple decks if you want to play with more than 4 players. It makes it much harder to keep track of how many aces, or other high cards have been played already. I really like what they’ve done with this game. The only other thing I would add if possible, would be sound, so you could talk to the other players.

  • Unrealistic hands

Why is it the second I’m on hard or hardest even medium the computer doesn’t get smarter they just have every winning hand? Also they play a 10 after I play my ace instead of their 6 when I have a pair of aces. Unrealistic you would never ever play the 10 before the 6. It’s just crazy the difficulty is only harder because the computer is gifted nearly perfect plays to your plays every time.

  • Lots of choices

I love how simple this game is and it has the most game options I have ever seen on a game I hadn’t played casino in 15 years it was always our go to game on the breaks that we card and dice dealers took I am really enjoying it keep up the good work
  • Disappointed

The app provider assured me the AI does not cheat yet it’s ability to make builds seems to far exceed any natural game using randomly shuffled playing cards and is close to 75% most of the time. It’s such a pity as Casino is such a great game having been around in one form or another since the 15th Century.

    Developer Response

Thanks for the review. I can assure you the ai does not cheat. The sweeps cancel out so if you had 3 sweeps but your opponent had 2 sweeps, you will only get 1 point at the end of the game. Since the update a couple months ago we now show how many sweeps each player got at the end of the round so it should be less confusing.
  • Almost right!

This app does a great job, but it doesn’t allow situations where you can capture a build with a different card and something off the table. For instance: I cannot capture an A4 build of 5 with the extra 4 on the table and my 9 in the hand. This is allowed in Cassino as far as I know. If not it should be an option in the rules customization. Tough to beat the AI on insane without this move!
