Data Access Creep by App Development Team…

As a long time user of the app, I’ve been appreciative of its design and features. Recently, in order to add a scheduled visit to my calendar, I have been asked to allow FULL calendar access to Supercuts. Such allows Supercuts and untold others on their “team” to see everything, and I do mean everything on my calendar - and potentially (dare I say likely) sell same to the many unscrupulous data brokers who are eager behind the scenes to pay them for that deeply personal information. The Supercuts app development team could’ve allowed the setting to simply ADD events only to the calendar, but they clearly could not control themselves and chose to force a requirement for FULL access to allow that feature - which I simply won’t allow. Supercuts corporate and their app team should be deeply ashamed.

***Appts Don’t Mean Anything

SUPERCUTS has an appt. making option on the app. Unfortunately it’s just for show. They operate under a “Walk-in” priority system. I had a job interview and set an appt for 9:45a. Showed up at 9:25a, saw a customer getting a cut so I went and got a coffee. Came back at 9:40a, sat down and spoke to another customer waiting. I asked if he had an appt and he said, “Nope.” At 9:43a the stylist sat him & began his cut. I had to leave. When I asked the stylist what the purpose of appts. was, she said, “They’re not Appointments. They’re reservations.” So if you make an appt. with SUPERCUTS, it means nothing. Someone who walks in with no appointment at all 1 minute before you will get their hair cut first. “SUPERCUTS - Where Your Time Means Everything to You, But Not Much to Us!”

App is fine, if not a little pointless

I routinely book appointments through the app. Then, I show up on time, and someone who walked in off the street about the same time sits down before me. I get told, "It'll be about 10 minutes." So I wait. Good thing I booked ahead. Could have walked in unannounced just like the other folks and not lost a step. Again: the app is fine, but unless they happen to be really slammed at that time, it's not really doing much of anything for you

First Impressions?! Why?

So I have been to this Supercuts several times. So obviously I like going there. Making appointments? An adventure every time. It was so easy before just calling and making an appointment. Then it was first come first serve, we don’t make appointments but I can put you on a waiting list…..ETC. So today? I call and walk-ins are accepted but we prefer you book online or use the APP.
So, the APP; like the website you see “Check in” obviously a phrase most people relate to someone already having an appointment and wants to check in. My only option to try due to no Book, Appointment, or other such button. So, I try and yes, it is what you need to use to make an appointment. Of course no sooner than the appointments is booked? I get a phone call saying the computer overbooked the time slot I chose and would another be acceptable.
I am still left wondering why the first person on the phone couldn’t have just “booked” my appointment?

Not so Super

I booked an online appointment and showed up a few minutes early and waited. There were two stylists working and I was completely ignored. 15 minutes later another guest arrived and we both waited. After one of the stylists was finished, she asked what I needed, which was a trim and the other guest wanted a dye. Although I arrived first, she choose the other guest. I left and will not go back. What’s the point of making an appointment, being ignored, waiting 35 minutes past my appointment time, just to be picked over by someone who arrived after me? The stylists are rude and slow at their jobs. I’d give this place a zero if I could.

Time no longer available

Sometimes this app works great.

However, on several occasions the app has given me many available times, which are then no longer available when I try to complete the booking. This implies that they were available when I started, but no longer. So I go back to the beginning, and see all the same times available. When I try again, even with a different time, the same thing happens.

When this happens, eventually, I jus call the shop and book it directly, which shows that the app is wrong.

This app stinks

This used to work great. Id pick my stylist & a time. Show up and have a minimal wait. It was perfect. Now it doesn’t work for my location. I only want to see 1 specific person. I don’t want to have to call and ask if shes working, I know that stylists have to stop what they are doing and answer as there is nobody at their desk. Which I understand as a lower cost option. This app should be functioning like it used to. I can’t make an appointment with anyone, there is nobody to select. The frustrating part is the next closest salon has scheduling set up. But, I want to see the stylist Ive been going to for 5+ years! The sad part is my location has really limited hours. How much business are you missing out on with a non functioning app? Its 2022. Do better.

Ridiculous

I think it’s pretty ridiculous how I sign up for Supercuts and I receive these text messages stating that I get five dollars off because I come so frequently the lady that cut my hair was super sweet nice but I didn’t like the woman that she asked to help me read the text message so rude it’s only five dollars it’s not a big deal that’s the only reason why I ended up coming in I won’t be back at this location it’s so funny at other locations they’ll take it but this one wouldn’t.Why is it so hard for other women to show people respect I felt like she was really rude asked me where did I get that she doesn’t know who sent me that I don’t understand it could be anything it could be anyone like why would I try to scam you off of five dollars I just thought I was getting a deal don’t treat me like a child I’m a grown woman

Theee Best!

The shop is a great, relaxing atmosphere and Meg is amazing! I moved a few years a go and I am about an hour away but it’s worth the drive. I honestly wouldn’t feel comfortable going anywhere else or having anyone else touch these locks. Not only is she super sweet, she never seems to mind when I bring pics and want to change it up. She seems to actually enjoy trying new styles/cuts. She also helps me style it/blow dry etc to really capture the look!! Thank you so much to Super Cuts and Meg!

Booking easy to use

SC Booking is easy to use and I can add my children as guests making it simple to book them hair cuts. It was confusing at first, but once I signed up, I get confirmations and reminders on my calendar. Suggestion: It would be awesome if this app could track my hair cut visits and offer a free HC after we reach the limit. The HC costs a bit more than I would like for kids…but the Ladies are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and excellent stylists and totally worth it! They’ve been w/SC for years, so we have a great relationship w/my family! I highly recommend the Roseburg SuperCuts store
