Leave a Review The Wonder Weeks
Amazing. Worth every penny!
As a first time parent, I have relied on this app so much! It has helped me understand changes in my newborn son.. I am such a “why” person. This definitely satisfies that curiosity and also helps me to prepare for what’s to come. Don’t waste your money on all of those kits out there with the toys etc.. this app explains how to make the most out of each developmental stage as they come. My only complaint is that they don’t keep going with it through the ages. I’d be willing to pay more money (5 bucks is a steal for such a helpful app) if the makers of the app would also cover later ages. My best friend has a seven year old and she was telling me about how her daughter is going through all of these developmental changes - and that she is having a tough time navigating them. It made me think about how the app could make such a difference for parents of all ages! Not just me.Show lessDeveloper Response
Thank you so much for your kind words about the app and our work! We understand that it's disapointing that we haven't an app with the further stages of children. We leap our entire lives. For example, think about puberty, that's a big leap. We don't know when all the other leaps will start and when they will end as we haven't done any further research! Thank again for spreading the word and your confidence! Wishing you all the best.Doesn’t work for us
The biggest thing I find helpful is the skills, as it gives you some kind of idea of what new things to keep an eye out for and vaguely when. The actual “leaps” and “fussy times” never seem to line up with my baby though and seem to be more like a horoscope - you can read into it if you want to, and use it as an excuse/justification when your child is fussy, but your baby is gonna do what they’re gonna do regardless of what the app says. My son had colic for the first 3 months of his life, so at the times when he was going through the fastest leaps/fussy phases, he was just fussy all the time so it wasn’t really helpful.
I also really hate that the app forces you to go by your baby’s due date vs their birth date. I can see how this would be important if your baby was born premature, but my baby was only born 6 days early so I wonder if that’s why some of the fussy period timing seems so off. I don’t know, I just largely forget I have this app and just check in every couple of weeks to check off skills and see what might start happening next.Show lessDeveloper Response

Wonder Weeks was recommended to me by a friend at church. When my girl was 5 weeks old I was describing to my friend how she sometimes didn’t want to nurse or take long naps much anymore and she said it sounded like a Leap. Turns out all the things we were noticing were “signals” and she went through Leap 1. She’s 9 months now and just entered Leap 7, and some of the signals she’s already been showing way before now! I don’t live by this app or stay on it all the time, but it is helpful to know it’s not your fault when the babe gets a little fussier than normal. It just means they’re growing and learning like they should be:) we love looking at the list of skills and looking forward to her coming through with them on the other side. So fun:) God bless all you sweet parents, you’re doing a GREAT job and He gives grace to sustain ❤️Show lessDeveloper Response
