  • Latest update flaky

Current aversion introduced erratic behaviour after targeting a cache, with constant uninitiated flipping between screens. Previously good.
  • This app needs serious work

Firstly the design of the app is not appealing, the icons are stretched and warped and does not look polished.
Secondly it's not straight forward to use, the only instructions you get are to sign in to a geocaching site and that's it. I tried to search for geocache and nothing happened. I've looked through all of the menus and can see nothing that tells me exactly how this app works.

  • One of my most used apps

As a Geocacher this app is invaluable. Not a day goes by that I don't use it. Even provides link to cache on main website. Excellent.
  • Pleasant Surprise

Had been a geo bucket user for a while but it crashed in the middle of 31 days of geocaching got this to limp by but it looks nice so far. This app would get 5 stars if the map was a live map in stead of having to load a list first.
  • Great App

Really great app that runs much faster than the official GC app especially with lots of locally saved caches. Has all the features needed to find caches and also has the capability to handle trackables. The latest update with downloaded maps etc is really a great feature. The paid version is definitely worth getting.

  • Well thought out app!

This is a great little well thought out app. It is very configurable and has the ability to use off-line maps and change to different map sources. The on-line manual is great too. Keep up the good work.
  • Best of the bunch

I haven't tried all the others, but I have tried several. This is the one I use all the time when caching. Like all these it takes some getting used to, but once you have it does everything you need. There is a web site that helps learning the more obscure aspects.

It enables the keeping of various lists for different areas loaded from PQs. And if you have 3G on your iPad and arrive in a new locality unprepared you can search for caches in the field.

The mapping function works really well on an iPad, giving lovely clear maps with footpaths and caches so you can decide where to walk.

And you can zero in on GZ very easily with the compass function.

The only very slight niggle I have is that refreshing a list of caches seems to take ages, even with a good wi-fi connection. It is quicker to load 500 caches from scratch from a PQS than to update them later. But the function does work.

I am about to buy the Pro version, little different but no ads. Since I use this just about every day it seems only fair.

All in all: absolutely excellent! Ganz gut!

  • New Cacher

If you have an iPhone this is the best FREE app for geocaching. It has a slider tab that lets you link right to the actual geocaching web
site. It takes a little working with and setting up but linking to the actual web site is by far better than anything else.
  • iPhone Review

Best free app for apple phone\pad

Overhead map and free details for 3 caches per day is awesome

    Enjoy
  • Amazing you get this for free! UI difficult tho!

This apps UI takes a while to get used to (stable and usable for me), but after a short time you find that it gives AMAZING functionality! Love the Navigon navigation.
Downloading PQs is easy and you get ALL the info you do in the official app. Maps and navigation are also good.
Play with it a bit, to get used to it.
Not sure what more you get with the pro app but the free version is astounding
