Incorrect credit scores reflected on application

The same old story, can’t reach them and no one responds. I am a former property manager using the app for the first time as a renter and very disappointed.

After getting scammed by a fake property manager from a Zillow ad, my credit score crashed. After working on recovering from that for 2 months, got it back to where is was before the Zillow scam. Ran another application today and it was EXACTLY the same from months prior!!!! Just wasted $35 for the application, but even more frustrating I’ll probably lose another rental thanks to their inept business. And this company is supposed to be the industry standard?l

Deanna Sylva - Broker who Cares

I have had several positive experiences with Ms. Deanna Sylva. Deanna acted as my real estate broker many times. Deanna is a hard-working, honest Broker who cares deeply that her clients are happy. Deanna is honest and trustworthy. She does not show you property (apartments, condos, or houses,) unless they are up to your standard. Deanna really cares about her clients and wants them to be comfortable in their dwelling. She keeps abreast of her profession by going to seminars and conferences. Deanna knows an abundance about real estate and real estate law. I recommend Ms. Deanna completely and without reservation. Joanne C’

They take your money only to raise the rent

I recently started using this app to look for an apartment. I thought I was tripping when a place that I looked at seem to have increased in price after I originally paid for an application to see the property. I sense then started screenshotting properties as soon as they get emailed to me. I am now certain that they are increasing the rent after they’ve received x amount of applications / contacts.

It’s almost as if they realized they priced a property too low, and then raise it once they received so many applications / contacts.

They use specially wording that implies that you will see the property once you fill out an application, which you have to pay for. So you’re being forced to pay for this, to see that. And most of the properties don’t even get back to you or confirm if times you’ve scheduled to see a properties work for them. Since then, I’ve filed claims through my credit card company.

Terrible

I find this app to be quite ineffective. When you request to view apartments, there is often no response from realtors. Recently, I finally had someone reach out, made an appointment to see two apartments. He didn't have a realtor card after I had asked for It he texted me back saying he will send one when he gets to the office. Hours later he sends me a photo of the broker he worked for. Then, he sent me an application for the wrong apartment and asked for documents such as a picture of my Social Security card, which I found unusual since I’ve never been asked for that before. It felt like this was a scam because this person didn't have the proper credentials. Please be cautious about who contacts you. Ensure they are legitimate realtors before sending any documents. I had a bad feeling about this situation, and when I confronted him, he simply said he understood and left it at that, even though I was genuinely interested in the apartment. He also mentioned that I could pay $500 to lock in the apartment, which would prevent others from viewing it, and that if my application was denied, the $500 would be refunded. This was a major red flag for me.

EVERY place is always ***DEPOSIT PENDING***

You literally can’t even apply for a place because EVERY SINGLE ONE already says that they have a deposit pending. It’s PENDING. So either the house is still available if you pay the deposit before they get the one they’re waiting for, or they need to take the property off of zillow once it’s pending because they’re holding it for someone who’s payment hasn’t even gone through. this app is a waste of time if you’re looking for a place to go and that is the same for all of these rental apps. you still have to drive around look for rent signs like we always have. don’t waste your time here. I’ve wasted MONTHS looking for a home here when every property is owned by the same two companies who won’t accept us as tenants anyways. not helpful or convenient. not to mention NO ONE using this app actually accepts zillow applications and if you try you will be ignored.

has gotten almost completely useless

Zillow recently has gone downhill. You can't filter Saved Homes in the Zillow Rentals app- the only filter option is for 'rentals', which is dumb, because it's already the app for rentals.
You can add tags, but can't do a search for them in your Saved homes or anywhere else, so that's a useless feature.
And recently,Zillow has added non-sensical tags to listings, like 'cozy vinyl' (what does that even mean), or 'warm gas fireplace'( as opposed to all those cold gas fireplaces?), or 'post offices' (it has nothing to do with the listing, and who is looking for a place near a post office?); I doubt that many realtors are that incompetent, so it seems to be AI generated garbage tags, which are distracting and useless. Zillow tags used to tell you how long ago a place was listed (useful info), but they're increasingly crowded out by garbage AI tags, which make the app nearly impossible to use for actually finding a place. Make it stop. Seriously, you're destroying the purpose of the app.

How great is this App?

This app is works very well in many ways! But what do i mean by many ways? I was looking for house for rents, and i stumbled upon this app Zillow & wow! I was amazed on how well this really worked. One of the top main reasons i would choose these apps is because unlike other sites, this one actually isn't a scam due to their verification system & ever since then we've never had trouble going on a mission for a perfect house. You also have the ability to sell houses too! which it also makes it easier for real estate owners, 5/5 app huge recommendation.

Zillow. Chill out.

5 stars for the app itself, but good lord the pop ups to force this app into your life. Enable notifications. Like a property? Enable notifications. Like this app? Rate it. Think about the app for 3 seconds? Enable notifications. Like the idea of living somewhere? Rate this app. Open the app? Enable, rate, location, rate, enable. “Do yOU LiKe Me!? CaN i DrOp iN wHeNevER I FeEl!? CaN I kNOw WhERe yOu aRe aLwAyS?!”

Just. Chill out, Zillow. You’re coming off too needy. Just play it cool. If you’re concerned about my opinion of you, if you want to be able to let me know you’re here all the time, cool, we can feel however we like, but you don’t have to constantly force these needs on me like a clingy 16 year old on their first relationship.

Rental condo

Nice one

Horrible Customer Service

Previously I used Zillow to help manage my rental properties until recently when my account was suspended when a scammer reported my account and zillow took the side of the scammer. The scammer attached an obviously fraudulent document from the VA claiming to be a disabled Vet. As a disabled vet myself, I easily picked up on inconsistencies in their form that made me suspicious (ie, no VA waterpark, the VA seal was in black and white, the use of “we find you…”, and lastly the pay amount was not consistent with the amounts from the VA website, etc). Next, was the then bank statement. The bank statement had three laughable entries and thats it, the next document was their bank statement. The bank statement had three entries and thats it… then finally the credit report of the individual had a statement that “my identity had been stolen on 11/15 and please reach out xxx-xxx-xxxx to verify any credit applications.” The number was different than the number on the zillow application and I reached out to the guy and he confirmed he did not make the application. At this point, I denied the application and called out the guy as a scammer to which he reported my account. When I protested Zillow’s customer service they laughed at me and said I violated the fair housing act… are you serious? Where in the fair housing act does it protect someone who stole someone’s identity and is using fraudulent documents?
