  • Stopped working

This app worked well and then stopped working at all in my area. White to their email address but no answer
  • Apps stopped working

Loved this app but early March 2021 it doesn’t work????
  • Broken Weather Lookip

Been using the app for months and it was great. Now any location outside the US is broken and won’t load. Tried several in Canada, none work. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Tried a US loacation and it worked no problem.
  • Doesn’t work

I paid for this app to essentially give me my weather forecast...except now it doesn’t even do that. It says global forecast unavailable, which is ok. The weather network has free forecast information. They don’t even bundle astronomical seeing into the report. Not worth money.
  • Useful but....

I’ve been using this app since it came out and I do rely on it but the weather info provided to the app is not as accurate as I would wish. I now find myself cross checking with other sources of met data to see what the consensus is.
But my biggest problem now is that the app no longer scales to my iPad Pro. This presents itself as the app screen is too big to fit on my iPad screen. So crucial boxes such as the search box is almost impossible to access. I reinstalled the app but it made no difference. I contacted the developer but have not received any reply.

  • Scope nights!

Very accurate, better than any other astronomy weather apps!
  • Improving the App recommendation

Hello Id like to give the technical, and the development team of Scope Nights app, a small advice on improving the overall function of the app.

So, when I for exampe, hit the "Scope Sites" tab, then after you choose your dark site in the tab, I would then like the app to go straight to that specific dark site, on the "Dark Sky Map" tab as well (on the map).

If you can please implement that feature, I would greatly appreciate it from you.

It would greatly improve the app, and make things a lot easier, for the users of the already wonderful, Scope Nights app.

    Thank you and God bless!

  • Useful planning tool

This actually works. It’s massively better than looking at the standard weather forecasts and trying to work out if it’s going to be ok for observing or not. I do astrophotography and Scope Nights offers me the ability to really see when it’s going to be usably clear with all the detail I need that impacts the photos, and not just clear to the eye.
Great app, love it, it’s now my primary weather planning tool.

  • Excellent and easy to use

I live down near the Texas border with Mexico and most of the apps do not predict weather accurately for this area. However, this app does a great job. I plan my nightly astronomy sessions with this app and it rarely lets me down.
  • Needs work

I use an app called “Good To Stargaze”, which is free, and for a nominal fee allows one to save 5 sites. That app is very succinct and intuitive in its forecasts and presentation. Scope Nights offers much of the same information, and has a more colorful interface, and it has some basic stability issues. When connecting to the Internet to get weather information, the app can hang. When the connection times out, it sometimes crashes out to the “Finder”. I like that you can look up known dark sky sites and observatories, and add - evidently - dozens of custom sites. However, when the app is new, it seems to store every map position you navigate to, and your current location is stored dozens of times, and you cannot add new sites because the max number has been reached. I manually deleted all of these sites, which took several minutes (needs a delete all interface), and afterward it worked as expected. Not recommended over Good To Stargaze, and it does mostly work, but has the drawbacks mentioned above.
