Ok play, horrible interface
The game itself is ok, but marred by a horrible, clunky Flash-/90s-style interface that detracts heavily from the fun.
In addition there is a "Buy Now" option in Preferences, but no clue in-game as to what this does.
Finally, no option for GameCentre or multiplayer.
There are Hearts apps out there which score better in all areas.Show lessfairydreams

Can't vouch for the AI engine as ...
I don't have other card game apps to compare this with so I'll just review what I can:
- there are ads. Game has paid option to remove them.
- user interface is clean, quick and easy to use
- visually, Hearts Pro V is nothing to write home about
- no sound effects that I could hear
- it has a handy hint system (the question mark) and tapping it again seems to automate your move. Re: taking the suggested card and using it.
- decent amount of options for AI difficulty, themes, and game variations as noted in the app description
