Fun and useful

This is a beautifully realized app that gets better with every update. Very easy to use it has many functions that make it fun for kids but more importantly a working practical instrument for musicians. User friendly fully modifiable synth with midi out and a drum machine, with an interface that is pretty and intuitive.

First class

Lke some promising pupil (it, not me) I had high holes for this piece of work and that's exactly what it's becoming; a hell of a piece of work and all good. Don't stop working, if you're the developer. Don't stop from buying it if you're not.

Better than I Imagined!

I have had this app for a while as a midi controller for other synths and samplers. It has its own sound but I never really took that part seriously.

This has changed with version 1.2. They have updated the internal synth and added an arp and a drum machine. Basically you now have an all in one french synth pop machine!

You can find presets by other users and upload your own and it now has a recording facility as well as audiobus intergration and soundcloud.

Really, what more could you want. Brilliant!

A great tool for songwriters!

I really dig this as a control surface. It's easy to use, and a great tool for generating song ideas. You can't beat the price, and the built in sounds are good as well. Highly recommended!

Best music-making app

I am a pianist and wanted an app that let me create music using the iPad touchscreen in a simple and intuitive way. For that purpose apps like Magic Piano and Ocarina were a joke, since they didn't have nearly enough functionally and weren't responsive enough either. Nor was I looking to buy some $30 virtual synth controller with 1000 knobs and a tiny on-screen piano no better than Magic Piano.

This app was exactly what I was looking for. Within seconds of opening up the app I was up and running actually creating music, playing recognizable melodies and having a lot of fun. I haven't yet found any pop/rock song that can't be accommodated by the chords/scales that are available, and the interface is clever and remarkably easy to use.

On its way to perfection

Getting even better with moe scales
Great layout, nice synth sounds, perfect starter chords and scale sets, customization and most important a responsive developer!
I purchased after a speedy response from dev promising MIDI OUT in free future update, do you see the possibilities here people!
Also dev asks for further scales and chords to include, like I say this app is gonna be perfect and right now it's certainly worth the price in a heartbeat, well done dev

Nice!

I like this a lot.. Simple idea, simple sound but you can create some nice sounds.. It's limitations work for it and you can get quite creative with it.
Recording some nice organy loops into my hardware looper pedal to jam over with guitar sounds a bit early pink Floyd! ;)
Update works well with midi out

Needs a bit of finessing

It's a nice idea at a decent price. However, the UI is very sluggish, especially on playing. Not down to my iPad 1, plenty of other apps are slick graphically. It has a charm, but the restricted scale notes (3 per chord) is a little bit dumbed down. Needs to be more responsive before it gets added features IMHO - the active chord/note could be a little more obvious especially given the sluggish ui updates. I'd like to see numeric input for accurate value setting, releasing your finger frequently changes a value! Looks good and sounds decent !

Not bad

But I wish It had Midi output. When I looked at the app I just automatically thought it was a cool, new Midi controller. But it doesn't claim to be, so that's my bad. The sound engine is OK but obviously doesn't compare to the world of sounds that Midi makes available. It's a really cool concept and well executed design, but again, Midi out is a must... Preferably separate assignable midi channels for the pads and the keys. Plus add pitch bend and mod wheel sliders. Also would be great to have a hold/sustain switch for the pads. With Midi out this would be really GREAT!!!!
