  • Great app

This is a great combat manager. If they were to add an NPC tab this would be a great campaign App.
  • Sold 6 copies this weekend at a con just by using this.

This is by far the most useful combat tracker for Pathfinder. Almost every monster I needed to prep for the games I was running was pre-loaded into the app. It saved a TON of time at the table because the stats for the monsters were right there on the screen.

I did not experience any crash issues, but on my iPad 2 it does run a bit slow, especially when swapping between apps.

Overall, the app manages to keep up with the PC version.

  • Shows potential

The app does crash a lot, however as mentioned by others prep ahead of time and your good to go. The app does not run well on first gen iPads. Product has great potential but as of the writing it's not there yet.
  • Best Program of its kind

There are a few initiative trackers out there right now. Most of them are bad. A couple are okay. This one is phenomenal. The ONLY major drawback I have encountered so far is the occasional crashing during editing. It is important to note, however, that this problem only usually occurs during editing. Just prep your encounters ahead of gaming and you shouldn't have any interruption.

This is a great product that really does everything a DM needs and the amount of work and care put into this app is overwhelmingly evident. If you are a DM- BUY THIS APP. It is a great aid to speed up combat and will make your job a lot easier. And your support can only make it get even better.

  • Too many crashes

I think the app has great potential however it crashes way to often to be used in a gaming session for me.
  • Awesome

I've used Kyle's amazing program on the PC and he's done an excellent job of porting it over for use on the iPad. If you're the GM of a Pathfinder game don't think twice about the $5 cost of this app, it's worth it's weight in gold
  • What DM Tools should have been

It costs more than DM Tools, but it does so much more and so much better it is well worth it. You can put all the stats for the PCs in and then add monsters and even apply templates on the fly for an encounter. The monster list looks great and even has a good editor to add more ( 10x better than the one in the other app). I will definitely be using is for my Rise of the Runelords game next month! Looking forward to updates!

  • Finally

If you love the PC version, you'll like this version. I use it mostly as a very fast reference for spells, feats, monsters, and rules, but the combat tracking is excellent as well.

If you haven't used the PC version, you've been costing yourself time whenever you look something up using anything else. Any serious PF player should use Combat Manager as their primary reference tool.

  • Needs some luvin'

Fan of the PC version, not so much this current iPad version.

    1. Odd delay/sluggishness when accessing various tabs or windows for the initial time. It would be analogous to clicking the "bestiary" and the app loads all the data for every monster in the SQL/array/core data (not sure what you're using to manage your large volumes of data) before actually doing anything. It's as if there's an initial load time for many of the actions.

    2. A lot of crashes that take me out of the app. I wish I could say it's 100% repeatable in the exact same way to help you track down bugs, but sadly it's not. I have crashed 15+ times entering in player data. Sometimes adding a stat, sometimes adding a perception value, and sometimes a saving throw value (these were the common areas). It's frustrating because each crash erases the data you previously entered.

    3. Not intuitive enough for all users. I have experience with your PC version, so I can get through this app. Still, I feel your product could REALLY use a robust instruction/documentation section to help intimidated users.

    4. Pet peeve and not held against the app: when entering new data, your sentences start in lowercase. I'm a fan of proper grammar and starting new sentences/words with capital letters. Again a nit-pick and not held against the app.

    5. Another pet peeve: in the folder section where I can save my files/data.... I am unable to delete it. If the functionality exists I am completely missing it. Specifically the .cmpt files.

    6. Wish list feature: the ability to import data!

I eagerly await an update if there is one in the future.

  • Scalable utility!

I just stumbled on the Combat Manager and it's perfect for my dm needs. If I just want an initiative tracker, it's that...but the integration of the prd for quick reference to monster defenses and the ability to quickly add conditions(and look them up) makes this a near perfect dm utility. I say "near perfect" but I'm hard pressed to find areas for improvement at this stage. The developer has supported this on the desk top for quite some time so I look forward to this great app's continued development!
