Great app for leading small groups!
It allows you to get all the information you could ever need for leading a small group and to be able to easily text or email your group or parents quickly! This is tailored to leading the group and "showing up randomly" in the kids lives, unlike other apps that are only meant for group texting.IamCOOL...
I want to love it, but....
I truly want to love this app because at first blush it's great. Organized info for leading group, easy to access, fun colorful design, built in tools... There's a lot to love. However, I have constant bugginess with the channel settings. Our church has multiple age groups with different lessons, and the app doesn't usually remember my choice of which I'm using even to the point that as I have it open, I choose the class and it switches for a half second and then changes to a different class randomly. It takes me at least 3 times of choosing my class out of the menu before it "takes." Another issue is when my screen turns off I lose my place in the weekly lesson. When I reopen my phone, if it doesn't push me back completely to the opening page, it at very least puts me back at the beginning of the lesson, so using the app in real time doesn't work for me... Which is super sad because it has such potential. I've reinstalled and updated immediately, and still sad faces for me. Would love to see improvements and streamlining!Show lessbkittly

Love the app!!! It has made it much easier to lead a small group!! Only 3 thinks could make it better....1) if there was a place where both parents phone numbers and emails could be entered, 2) if the contact information within the app could be synced with the contacts on one's device and 3) if the app/info within the app was assessable via other devices [for example, if one could log into the app from their phone, iPad or computer and still have access to the lesson info and the information they have entered in regards to their small group]Show lessGetchygoat
Not Dependable
I heard a lot of hype about this app at the Orange conference. It has so much potential to connect leaders in I heard a lot of hype about this app at the Orange conference. It has so much potential to connect leaders in such a new and powerful way. We introduced it to our leaders and from the start it had glitches almost every week. Even when you plugged in your individual content with the channel ID the app still did not synchronize with many devices and leader cell phones. You have to delete the app and re download it often. Whenever you delete the app or get a new phone all the student information you plug-in is gone. I would be willing to pay for this app if it worked. My leaders are now so frustrated with all of the issues that they have given up on it. I guess we will try again in a few years with a new batch of leaders.Show lessSullyaustin

Fifteen years ago when I started ministry? I love this app. Our sgl's are beginning to use it to connect with their few.
As the leader I love that each sgl can have the discussion guide on their phone. Great idea. If you're not subscribed to weekly, what are you waiting for?
*I'd like to see a way to easily copy the image of the landing point each week. Right now on my iPhone 5, I have to scroll the background up to see the share icon. But I cannot click on it. Help!Show lessDerekWhitten
Missing one feature... but still awesome!
I am a MS SGL at LifePoint Church in Maryland, and I love using the Lead Small app in our middle school ministry that I serve in. It's got great tools to keep track of my “few,” which is great, especially given the number of students we have in our ministry. The ability to put a picture to each student’s profile is absolutely amazing, especially for those times when a student is out for a few weeks and you forget their name. The only feature I have seen missing in the app is in the “This Week” section. We don't follow the XP3 MS curriculum exactly, week-by-week, so it would be nice if I could select which part of which series we are doing that week to have the resources available on my phone rather than on papers printed out for leaders. We also sometimes use our own series, so another awesome feature would be the ability to input your own main points, discussion questions, etc. to be able to have them in the app. Other than this, the app is fantastic!Show lessaschultz813

When this Weekly App came out I felt like someone read my brain, looked at my calendar, looked at my Wunderlist , and saw all my Basecamp projects to create the brain child that is Lead Small Weekly!!! SO genius. If creating a weekly [and monthly/yearly] strategy is new to you as a ministry leader-this is the PERFECT place to start. I think you will fall in love with it. I absolutely love this app! So many great qualities like having the bottom lines and big picture for the curriculum for that week. It would be awesome to be able to share information, such as having one login for the ministry that everyone could use, the ability to have a stamp tracker within the shared app, and getting a notification when a child's birthday is coming up. Sharing with co-SGL's
This app is great! I wish though it had the capability to be used by multiple devices, by different people. I am in charge of all those that serve at the service I lead, and I created groups assuming I would be able to share with others. I can only access this, and only on this device. If a shared login could be created it would allow me to share with others, and allow us to see who is moving up into our groups as their birthdays arrive. Instead my volunteers must spend the time to all make their own groups and add their own information and pictures, when we could otherwise share and have more time each Sunday and Wednesday on group time, than we do now due to organization of this app. Great app that could use some updating such as "sharing".Show lessLiz18yrsimliz
Need help
I really like the concept of this app but I am having a hard time using it. I was trying to find somewhere to ask for help but I could not find anywhere so I came here. First, it would be nice if there was an iPad version. And second, it needs more flexibility. I have a group for middle school girls and high school girls for our youth group. I accidentally put a middle school girl in the high school group but I could not switch it. I had to renter it. Which, isn't a big deal for one but what do I do when the school year ends and I have a bunch switch over. Redo them all? What if the youth group keeps growing and we make smaller groups, not just middle and high? Renter them all? Also, I would like to be able to delete a person. The girl I mentioned, I entered into middle school but then I could not take her off of high school. Like I said I like the idea and I am still going to try to use it but it is frustrating sometimes.
