HD is way better on the IPad
This HD version is a full screen Bible like looking into your Bible book compared to the original version for the iPhone. I have both version
and the HD is a must have for your iPad. I wish they would do a software update to add the ability to use different colors to highlight verses and be able to save it so you can turn this into a study bible.

App has needed an update for the last 3 years.
Why can’t I load it on my IPhone also
When I purchased this app, I assumed I could also load without paying again on my IPhone. Why can’t we. Otherwise really l8me the app
Back up and restore problems
My ipad pro says active but yet presents an invalid icloud error.

Best KJV Bible Abb
In my opinion, this is the very best (KJV) King James Version Bible app going. No speaker or reader of the King James Bible is better than Alexander Scourby. My personal opinion.

You will pay $20 to download to your phone. If you also want it on your iPad, you will pay another $20. If you buy a new phone, you will pay another $20! On top of this, you must pay for certain extras.
Scourby is great! It’s the seller who is making exorbitant profits. The sellers of this software do not have spreading the Word as their 1st priority. Makes me wonder if they have the right to sell Scourby’s recording.

What happened?????
It worked just fine, but now it opens and immediately closes. I don’t get it. I hate to have to buy it again. I used to rate it 5, and even bought it for others, but now it’s worthless.
Finally, after downloading twice, it seems to be working, but I HATE the pause between verses. Wish I had the option to turn that off.

Scourby is the best
I’m in my 60s. Over the years I’ve had the “Scourby” Bible on cassette tape, cd’s, and a few years ago I got the app—-the best by far. Scourby reads so beautifully. I know there are more “accurate” translations but I love the poetic language of the King James Version—especially in the Psalms. I even enjoy listening to Scourby read all the genealogies in the book of Numbers. His diction is so clear he makes all those hard to pronounce names a thing of beauty. I also like the fact that there’s no mediocre music in the background. The app is sooo easy to use. So much better than the cd’s. I fall asleep listening to Alexander Scourby every night. I love the timer on the app, too. I have been blessed beyond measure having Scourby read to me.

Don’t Panic if app crashes
My app crashed this morning and support was quick to respond. It turned out that the problem was not with the app but with my compromised iPad.
All I did was reinstall the app, turned off the iPad and did a reboot. That cleared my iPad of whatever was causing the app to crash. I am back using the app now without any problem.
Here is the instruction I got from support:
1. Delete your app.
2. Turn your device off, reboot and do a soft reset to clear out your cache. You hold down two buttons for 10 seconds. Google if you don't know how to do a soft reset.
3. Then re-download the Bible app from the app store.
4. Make sure the cellular Data is turned off in the Bible App. The app doesn't need wifi of cell data to work, it's totally self-contained within the app. If the above doesn't work then do Scott's fix which will require a back of your data to the cloud and then redownloading your data.
If the above does not solve your problem, please drop them a line, they respond quickly.

Extremely Poor
I have contacted the Dev’s about the horrible sound quality, and it really is horrible. I would not recommend this app to anyone, you can do much better. The app itself is great, good tools and good research ability, but the sound the thing you want right the most is just gone. The scourby sound we all knew and trusted is simply tinny and has strange noises that are not natural, sounds like someone doing something in the background, not sure if its the recording team doing something as they redid part or the audio, it is just bad. The dev told me well over 2 years now he was 2-3 months away from upgrading this with much higher sound quality, I have given up, its all a lie on the devs part, they could care less they get your money and that is all he cares about. I no longer trust or expect this app to be upgraded at all. Please do not by at all stay away and look for the original cd’s of scroby and make your own re-recording onto something like an ipad or other device to play whenever you want to. Just do not by this app.
