Hello Rovio entertainment today I’m reviewing angry birds friends with my thoughts and opinions please feel free to tell everyone about my review. For ab friends being one of the only classic angry birds games still around that is already worth a star on my review because I love all the classic angry birds games just the concept of slingshoting birds at pigs was always enjoyable I especially love the concept of infinite levels this one has just playing a bunch of different levels in the form of tournaments is amazing and how these levels are made is even cooler, I would love to see an official angry birds level maker uploaded to the App Store anyways I love how the birds are more powerful than ever before and the art style is pretty good my only problem comes with how hard the levels can be which isn’t really much of a problem that you can fix because games like this require the difficulty and my final point is how I’m not a fan of the recent updates I don’t like how the amount of levels required to beat before reaching the tournament was increased and how there is a useless feature occasionally added like blues tallest tower which would be better if you let the player decorate the tower anyways that was my review and I’m honestly more impressed with the game than I thought I was going to be so I have to give a close to 5 star review.Show lessyour biggest fan JUDE
Great game that continues to make ads more important than customers
I’ve played this game for many, many years and have loved having it be a part of my life. But, lately within the last number of months, it has gone downhill making it show how the advertisers and making money is more important than the customer…
1. When you finish any level, you get prompted with an ad to spend coins buying a bird to “get a higher score” because your score isn’t the #1 top score. So, when you finish a level, you can’t just move on; they warn you every time and want you to buy coins.
2. It is more and more difficult to watch and ad to get a boost of some kind. There are fewer and fewer opportunities to watch an ad and get a prize, and them still having a bird where you win nothing on the wheel makes it even more frustrating. So, if you want to get boosts, you now need to spend money on it because there are fewer and fewer opportunities to just get them.
3. Put those two items together, along with levels starting to be more complex, it just makes it difficult, where it’s easy to give up.
Take care of your customers and make the game more enjoyable, not harder to achieve items, spend more money, and be bothered over and over again because they’re not #1 on everything.Show lessrfinger
Awesome! Glad you’ve made it tricky! But not TOO glad…
Because whenever I play the game, it feels tricky, then trickier, trickier and so on. Well, OBVIOUSLY it is tricky ‘cause, I mean, if the game was simple, it would be like: you’re on level 37, and then, hooray, you won! How many shots did it take? And you answer: 0. Just plain 0! Can you believe it! I won!! NO, NO, NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT! But I would also like it for y’all to make a little bit simpler? Y’know, for the sake of those who love AB but aren’t really that good at it? But, for those that DO know it? Come on! Make it, at least like, in the middle. Not too hard, not too simple. Just, like, in between those 2 options. But make it hard & simple (in the middle) (at the same time), please.

Another downgrade
I will not play the tournament just to unlock levels. And remember, when not playing, am not watching ads. Which do you prefer, no players and no ad watching, or players watching the ads?
ETA: Now will not load even after a hard restart. Also don't appreciate sponsorship from Russian ops site 5 Minute Crafts, don't need to learn to make cardboard storage units and glue gun coasters to use in substandard Soviet-era housing from their mind-rotting and time-wasting videos. Update has NOT restored the old Star Cup--no thanks. If you want users to keep playing the game and WATCHING THOSE ALL-IMPORTANT ADS, you might consider restoring the old Star Cup style of play. Because if we're not playing, we are not watching the ads...get it? This new "Star Cup" with rankings where you lose points is the straw. ETA: Losing star points still a function of the Star Cup, so I'm not going to play anymore, having lost over 30 points apparently just by opening the Star Cup to see if those changes were still in effect.Show lessiona 6

The game is getting more intricate and difficult and to maneuver around and because the score boxes cover the parts of the game at the top and to the right. Please either make them smaller or put score boxes on the bottom so as not to interfere with the playing of the game. April 18, 2023 Thanks. The game is not loading on my iPad. I have to click on the app about 10 times or more and if I'm lucky, it will come on. What is the matter...is it new updates or is it from Rovio? Losing my patience😩

Angry Birds creators are not listening....the score boxes are covering parts of the game because they're too big. The difficulty of the game has increased to the point of frustration and considering quitting! When he run of playing becomes too much of a chore to continue....then something needs to change. Exciting concept but poor design, very expensive game
The concept of the game and animation is very good. But more designed towards increasing their income. The birds don't have much power unless enhanced using a sling or magic poison for each occurrence of a level. And the pigs are out of reach in some levels and requires more power ups. The cost of the in-app purchases keep increasing almost every couple of months. Also, Sometimes the rewards don’t get credited after watching the full ad. This game has become monotonous and boring to play. They have made more difficult to play in the name of challenge. And if we get good at it, they promote and increase the difficulty level. I used play the game to reduce stress but It’s no longer fun to play. Just moving on. I would now give less than 2 stars.Show lessGOPSCHEL
Brawl
Sooo what’s up with these new wheel 🙄 it looks like just more ads and 1/4 the jackpot. You guys alredy cut from 2 to 1 every time we watch ad or turn the wheel and even after all that when I do want to use the bird I have to watch another ad which are now more then 30–35 seconds plus another few for waiting for that X so I can close it. Seriously guys….disappointed. Btw free wheel thing still don’t always work.
So the changes in tournament part is very good the brawl part is well you guys took the fun out of it. Also soooooo many ads. 😣 I touch screen once could be anything boom ad pops up. To start new game….ad…to go back…ad urrghhhh u guys have alredy changed to 1 reward instead of reg 2. So do either or. More add sure give 2 rewards then or cut back. It takes fun out of playing the game. Maybe ok in beginning but players will get irritated with it. Also the wheel don’t always work.Show lessniknixter
Best Angry bird game but new ads won’t go away
Best angry birds BY FAR!! I get watching an ad to get a free chest but now an ad between every level? And, you can’t clock out of the ad if there’s no counter so my phone auto opens App Store. This happens 5-8 times before the ad goes away. Sometimes I have to close the game in a level if I choose to watch an add in a level because the X to close the ad doesn’t work at all.
Do advertisers think I’ll download a game because they force me to open the App Store 8 times? I’ll never download those games because the ads are ruining the game.Show lessNevada city girl
Fun Game…but
It clearly rigged in several manners. I don’t understand why they bother to rig it, but it’s clear that they do. Sometimes, the birds are noticeably less effective. Other times you loose a tournament when there’s no way you could have gotten enough points to win because there isn’t enough hardware left to damage. Two or three wood blocks aren’t going to make up for a 300,000 point difference. I have multiple screen shots of such examples. Finally, the latest has been the program crashing on the sixth tournament level when you are about ready to win. Once or twice is perhaps a coincidence, but dozens of times it crashes at just that level and no other level is just too coincidental. And always crashes AFTER you watch the ad.Show lessKenlewis
A long term relationship you know you should get out..
I have played this franchise for more than 10 yrs. The original Angry Birds and Angry Birds Seasons were the best versions. I started playing Friends when those were no longer having new levels added.
In the years I have played this version, the levels have gotten less creative and MUCH more redundant. The frequency of ads has increased to the point that the game is the intermission between the ads. I have historically been able to earn enough birds to play satisfactorily by streaming those ads until just recently. Now the option for earning birds in this manner is much less frequent (I presume because they would rather you just give them $ directly for birds).
You could also earn birds and coins in the “Brawl” section, but for a couple of weeks that has also been nonfunctional. You can play and it will debit your “turns” but you don’t win any reward even if you win your round. It just tells you to play a round to join a season. Yep. That is what I just did.
All in all, the developers of this game have sucked all the fun and creativity and problem-solving out of it. So, alas, it may be time to end this less-than-satisfying long-term relationship.Show lessonlybecauseineedanickname
