It also allows you to use a different proxy for specific websites, like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, social widgets from websites. You can even define your own content filters. With Weblock you can control proxy for basically any network resource! This way you can choose not to reveal your real IP to different services, limit advanced ad targeting and protect your privacy. IMPORTANT NOTICE: You're responsible for selecting a proxy server that allows you to download content you wish to download. We DO NOT provide a proxy service. Do the same for Twitter, Google+ and other social media. • Stop annoying Tapatalk popups, nagging you to download forum browsing app on every visit. • Take control of someone else's device - you can preconfigure any iOS device to control it with your Weblock app. Block or redirect any content, anytime, directly from your own device. • Your predefined filters and custom rules can be synced between all your iOS devices using iCloud. • If you wish to block something else, you can create your own rules and filters. You can block any URL (with regular expressions), domain or IP address. Don't know how? Let us know - we're here for you. • You can also use Weblock's redirect feature to emulate '/etc/hosts' entries for HTTP and HTTPS traffic. • Finally stopped working reliably in Dec 2023

I’ve been using Weblock for years and years, and it’s always done a great job. But this week, several apps finally started to break through and show ads, most annoyingly Bored Panda, which throws up full-screen video ads at random in the app, and then begs you to whitelist it (to BP: This behavior is WHY we block ads!). I’ve contacted the developer, but given how long it’s been since this has been updated, I’m not expecting a fix. It still works in some apps, particularly games, so it’s not a total loss yet, but I’m afraid I’m going to have to start looking for an ad-blocking VPN now.

  • Sus reviews, save your money

Doesn’t achieve a fraction of what it claims. Doesn’t block in-game ads and uses a generic list of ad servers to proxy. Following all of the steps using either the VPN profile or the web content proxy configuration yielded sub-optimal results with a small less than 5% of ads actually being blocked. Don’t waste $2 and instead find a reputable DNS blocker that you can configure at your router level. Pihole, NextDNS, w/v it might be, will produce vastly superior results and provide dramatically more visibility in what is happening behind the scenes.

  • iOS 15 made this useless

It’s getting to the point where we’ll have to watch ads just to answer our phone. I have used and loved this app since its first appeared and it was amazing at blocking all ads. Never saw an ad till I downloaded iOS 15, which completely disabled this app. It doesn’t work on iOS 14.8 either. Really disappointed and hope there will be an update to fix this issue very soon.
