  • Very poor

Articles not up to date. News not always up to date. Opinions behind by one or two days. No ability to share, links to Facebook non existent. A sloppy job by the developer leaves the H T looking like. Amateurs Tha app varies in operation daily. One day I can touch to put an article in the reading pane, today I cannot. I cannot get to the articles. The share function is erratic and sporadic. Please, hire IT people who know what they are doing. Your IT people are nasty. When my app was not working, they first blamed me and my computer and my ability. It turned out that the latest upgrade cut out users with older operating systems. But rather than just admit that, they would rather blame the user. The EMail function is not working. This app does more to discourage readers than the newspaper itself!

  • Herald Tribune

I am extremely pleased each day to get up and read the Trib, I read 3 to 4 newspapers a day, and this is the one I turn to first, then an Irish newspaper, and the Washington Post, and finally one from home in Missouri. This one gives me info I want and need, the others just ways to keep up with the many places I have lived and traveled to. Keep up the great work.

  • Local Journalism

We here in Sarasota are fortunate to have a local newspaper primarily dedicated to local news and events. Which the Herald-Tribune does to great success. While not ignoring state and national issues, it does a great job of keeping us locals well informed on the issues that affect us most nearly. From city and county commissions to high school sports everyone will get up to date news on the subjects that matter to all individuals. At a time when local newspapers and journalists are disappearing, Sarasota’s are lucky to still have our hometown “rag.”

  • Worse newspaper app ever

I have been an e subscriber for several years. The new app is horrible. It is not at all user friendly. I am thinking of just canceling my subscription to this paper. Why would you make an app worse with not as many features? I have to fight with it to go to today’s paper instead of it just popping up like it used to. Not a happy subscriber

  • Sarasota Herald Tribune - Terrible App

I have enjoyed the Herald Tribune newspaper since retiring to Florida in 2009. A few years back I switched to an on line paper to read on my iPad.

60% of the time I have no problem reading the on-line paper. The other 40% is a nightmare. The paper does not load properly. The section that resembles the physical newspaper does not load.

This is getting to be too much of an aggregation each morning. Thinking of putting my subscription in the internet dumpster!

  • Sarasota Herald e-newspaper

This software upgrade is a waste of time to try to read. The old version was easy to change pages, read the articles and get the news efficiently. The new upgrade locks up constantly, jumps to numerous other pages by itself, ads pop up constantly while your trying to read an article, the turn page button works half the time. Most of the time an ad slides from the right or the tab button is hit and jumps you to another section of the paper so you have to flip back through pages to get back to what you were reading. I’ve been struggling with this garbage software and I have no choice but to cancel my subscription since this paper refuses to fix the problems with the e-newspaper

  • Inconsistent quality

I like the “eNewspaper” format. It was working fine until the last few months. Seems to have a new bug everyday. It’s becoming more and more tedious to navigate. I wish it worked the way it did when I first subscribed.
  • Notifications are Great!

I think the notifications they send me are appropriate and always timely. Even if I don’t read the whole article, I get the gist of what is going on in our community.
