  • Great, but room for improvement

Generally well made, informative and useful guide to Game of Thrones.

However, there are some glaring omissions. For instance there is no section dedicated to The Other / White Walkers / Wights or The Night King, Stone Men etc.

A section for key events (e.g. the Red Wedding, The Battle of Blackwater etc) would be handy.

The artwork is beautiful, but there could be more of it (e.g. there’s no artwork for direwolves). A way to browse the artwork easily (i.e. a gallery) would be a nice addition too.

A deep search option could be extremely useful too (i.e. one that searches through all of the text within the app). The current search seems to be limited to character, place, creature, item names that have there own sections. For instance, searching for greyscale yields no results, despite there being several references to the condition on various character pages (e.g Griff, Shireen Baratheon). The same happens if you search for High Septon.

Minor quibbles aside, this app is a useful and well put together reference for Game of Thrones fans.

  • WOIAF app

Would be a great app if I didn’t waste money buying all the expansions only for none of them to load past 20%

  • Map exit

EDIT: They fixed everything mentioned below! The developers really read and take into consideration these reviews. Thus, it now goes from a 4 to a 5 star app for me! ________

This is an amazing app!!! The only reason it doesn’t get a 5 star for me is the problem of zooming in and selecting of a specific town or geographical body. Once you select a town/geographical body for more information- you cannot simply back up to where you at on the map before selecting said item. You must find the entire region (Westeros, Essos, etc.) again and zoom back in (which takes some time because it is a very excellent, extensive, and large map). However, that is only one small correction. If you are a ASOIAF or Game of Thrones fan- this is “must have” and very helpful! Thank you for making this wonderful app!!!

Thank you so much for your feedback! We have fixed this bug. Please download our latest app update (3.0).
  • App is absolutely amazing.

The entire story and history of game of thrones for all fans no matter what part of the story you’re on. Spoilers are only revealed when you’re ready to reveal them. 10/10
  • Great app! Needs more entries.

This should be your definitive source, outside of the books and the fan wikis. Therefore, there needs to be more and longer entries for characters, places, items, and events.
  • Pay for content

Really you need to pay for content,
  • Pretty good

Pretty good basic level app has basic information on a lot of things but I’m not paying extra just for information that I could find on Wikipedia page or in the books have already bought every book for a song of ice and fire I’m not paying extra to get that same information in an app
  • In App Purchases do not work!

Gutted and as this app is clearly so useful when reading the books
  • Can’t buy spoilers

I’m on an IOS device and can’t even buy the info packs/spoilers for the app. Seems like a great app but it isn’t complete and from what I can tell you can’t even get the complete version with in app purchases like they say you can because the app doesn’t let you select the option to buy the info packs/spoilers- would certainly give a higher rating if the developers fixed this major issue. Would not even recommend downloading the free version until it’s fixed as it’s simply a major tease of what it COULD be.

  • Developer please help

Have tried to send email after hitting the help icon but I am not sure if it’s the right email address.

First off let me say I really love this application. There can be a lot of confusion due to the complex story lines and so many characters and locations. This application is so helpful in keeping everything and everybody straight in your head.
I appreciate the brief but informative backstories of the characters and locations as well. The maps are so very thorough and so easy to navigate as well. It’s worth every penny.

Now to my issue DEVELOPERS- I have purchased everything and have the slider all the way over to the 5th book but in spite of that some of the characters journey’s are locked. For example I chose Brienne of Tarth and it informed me the book she first appears in is not unlocked and sends me to the slider screen to unlock it. The slider is already set to unlock all 5 books(all the way over to ‘the right side over ‘A Dance With Dragons’)
Could you give advice here and or send me the correct email to direct my question?

This is a really awesome application and
I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer.
    Thank you!!!!

Thank you for your feedback. The Game of Thrones fans are amazing and your enthusiasm helps to make this app such a success. Please feel free to email us anytime at support@randomhousedigital.com To address your question regarding the Journey Map and Spoilers: The spoiler settings within the Journeys Map are slightly different from the general settings for the overall app: 1.) Open Journeys Map and see the blue, yellow, green, red and silver boxes on the bottom. These boxes represent the books. You can unlock books within the Journey’s Map by tapping on these boxes. 2.) Next tap the People tab- you will see all of the characters are unlocked for each of the books you have unlocked on the Journey’s Map. Any character with a book icon next to their name is locked content. You can unlock additional characters by unlocking additional books in your Journey Map spoiler setting. Moving forward as you use this map- just be sure to be clicked on the book (colored boxes on bottom of map screen) you would like to see the characters for. Please email us if you continue to have any questions.
